Taehyung walked into his room, stripping off his racing gear and changing into a pair of shorts for the night. As he pulled on his pants, his eyes drifted to his bed with its black bedsheet.

"Maybe I'll have you chained to my bed, watching every move you make, keeping you right where I can see you," he recalling the words he'd just spoken to Jungkook. His enemy. Or at least, that's what he tried to convince himself.

The line between attraction and animosity was blurring dangerously. Taehyung leaned against his wardrobe, staring at the bed. It was the same bed he'd slept in forever, but now it seemed different. It looked like a place where something forbidden and electrifying could happen.

Jungkook had tattoos all over his left arm, from his shoulder to his hand. Those black ink designs didn't dull his pale skin but made it stand out even more. Jungkook was so white, the blank bedsheet on his bed. Taehyung could picture him there, spread out, looking up at him with those big, expressive eyes, maybe throwing fire with them at him. Jungkook would look absolutely breathtaking.

Taehyung slapped himself and let out a groan. "What the fuck am I thinking? About whom?? Jeon Jungkook! My childhood slash adulthood enemy? I must have gone nuts!"

Those dreams were messing with his mind. Jungkook was constantly occupying his thoughts, haunting him day and night. At this rate, Jungkook should start charging him rent for living inside his head 24/7.

With another groan, Taehyung flopped onto his bed, running a hand through his hair. He needed to get a grip. Jungkook was off-limits, forbidden territory, and Taehyung had to remind himself of that. But the more he tried to push the thoughts away, the more they clawed their way back, making him crave the very thing he should avoid.

Maybe he should just start his old habits again, getting laid! Yes, that's what he should do! But he couldn't.

He remembered the time right after he graduated from high school and entered college. He was a free spirit, getting into bed with people whose faces he didn't even remember the next day, boys, girls, it didn't matter. But then he stopped. He couldn't pinpoint exactly what made him stop. Was it because he got bored? Or was it because he finally took Yoongi's advice seriously when he kept warning him that he'd get an STD soon? Or was it because someone had entered the college after a year, and he didn't want to be that Taehyung anymore? He wasn't sure.

Now that he had left his old habits behind, it was better if he didn't go back to that path again. His grandpa had always told him, "Do not return to old habits. They kill you the second time fully."

Taehyung sighed deeply, running his hands through his hair again. The truth was, something had shifted inside him when Jungkook entered his life again. The one-year gap they had when Taehyung was in his first year of college while the younger was still in his last year of high school had done something to him.

That one year, Taehyung stayed away from Jungkook a lot. Yes, they kept having fights outside of school, but those daily school hours brawls were missing. They used to cross paths maybe every three days, and the absence was palpable. That distance made both of them mature a bit, although they still fought like snake and weasel. Taehyung wouldn't deny that he missed those fights during that one year.

Now that they were in college, things were already a bit awkward. The dreams, the kiss, the hands on each other's bodies, these made it all the more complicated for Taehyung. It was as if the time apart had heightened every emotion, every glance, every touch.

It wasn't just about winning or losing anymore. There was something deeper, something more intense, and it scared him.

He knew he had to navigate these new emotions carefully. Jungkook was more than just a rival now; he was someone who stirred feelings Taehyung hadn't allowed himself to explore before. And that made everything far more dangerous.
