Lie After Lie

Chapter 30

"The twins, astrid and fishlegs stayed on the edge." Hiccup repeated for the fifth time. 

"But why did-" 

"Because we just planned it like that," Hiccup shrugged. "If you wanted to spend more time with astrid, you should have just told me that. Now we are stuck with you anyways in the air so we can't do anything about it now." 

"Unfair." Snotlout mumbles under his breath and starts to pout. 

"We'll take care of berk and the fire worms and then stay there for the night," I explain the plan again. "Once we make sure that berk is okay and that they are capable of living without us and our resources we are able to go back to the edge to check on the others and how it happened with viggo." 

"Do you really think that they are able to defend against viggo and his whole army of ships? Viggo is smart, he'll think of one way or another to defeat us." Snotlout said. 

"They've done it before," I say back at him. "Astrid and the twins have defended the whole island all by themselves. Now that they have fishlegs with them, it will be even easier and better to defend the island. They can do this without us." 

"They would have been dead if me and hiccup and fishlegs wouldn't have showed up at the last second to finish it all off." Snotlout protested. "And also ruffnut got captured last time they had to defend the edge and then it was only astrid and tuffnut and let's just say that it was painful to watch that." 

"Exactly, it was only astrid and tuffnut and still they defended the edge so long until they needed back up and you guys came together to finish it off with ryker." I crossed my arms as he rolled his eyes. 

"We don't have all this time for bickering about, snotlout." Hiccup looks at him annoyed as snotlout raises his eyebrows and scoffs. 

"How is it my fault?!" Snotlout huffs softly. "Everything has been changing since you two were you know." I look at snotlout and raise an eyebrow, warning him slightly. "But you know." He chuckles awkwardly. 

"Snotlout, shut up for once," Hiccup said with a groan. "You keep on making it continue. So it's also your fault. I see berk, let's start." He points at berk as we all nod and fly low above the water, landing softly on berk as we look around. No sign of fire worms. "What the...?" We see gobber and stoick walk over to us. "Dad! Where are the fire worms?" 

"They're gone." Stoick said as me and snotlout look at each other confused before looking at hiccup, who was looking at us the same. "They were here this morning, and then they suddenly took off quickly and left." 

"They left? Just like that?" I hop off of deadeye as snotlout and hiccup jump off their dragons, their dragons and deadeye confused too. "Why would they just leave like that?" 

"I'm not sure," Stoick shrugs as gobber throws a rock at his burple. "But they did." 

"Viggo might be doing something with it," I groan. "Oh god, we might have gotten in some trouble. I'm going to kill him!" I ran a hand through my hair as I got onto deadeye. "I know what to do." 

"Asta!" Hiccup run up to deadeye as I look down at him. "What do you think you're doing?" 

"I'm doing the thing I should have done the second you guys found out about my relationship with viggo." I look at snotlout as he was already on hookfang. "I know where he is. I want to end this, hiccup. And I will end it." 

"I'll trust you." Hiccup got on toothless. "How do you know where he is? How do you know that it's viggo who did it?" 

"I know him," I look at the ocean. "He's in his base, waiting for me." Deadeye jumps into the wind that's passing by and starts to flap her wings harder to keep steady, meanwhile, hookfang starts to fly. Suddenly, snotlout gets thrown off into the ground with a loud thump. "Oh," I scrunch my nose watching that. "You good?" I tilt my head a bit as he gives me thumbs up. They both get on their dragons again and fly up with me after saying bye to gobber and stoick. We were flying in the air as the sun was shining on us. 

"What will we do once we see him?" Snotlout looks at me as I look down at deadeye. 

"We first get the dragons to safety, we don't let anyone see them and then I'll go to viggo and deal with him by myself and with my axe." I narrow my eyes at the thought of viggo. "I'm done with his little games." 

"Don't kill him." Hiccup looks at me. 

"If I don't, this little game won't end." I look back at him. "It needs to end, hiccup. I don't do promises I most likely won't keep. I won't kill him. He's my father, but I'll leave my mark strong enough he won't want another." 

"For thor's sake..." Hiccup mumbles under his breath. Once I laugh at hiccup, he blushes softly. I wasn't complaining though, ever since I came back... things have been... rocky... 

"Once we get on the island, things won't go the way you want them to." I look at them both as they look worried. "Just a little warning, so don't be shocked." I shrugged as snotlout blinked a couple of times, looking traumatised and hiccup raised both his eyebrows. 

"Damn." Hiccup mumbled. 

"Damn indeed." Snotlout mumbled later. I couldn't help but giggle softly as they both smiled at me.
