20: Grade Captain

"HAH!??"

sakura has an aghast expression, full of shock and disbelief as he looks at everyone in the classroom. They want him to be grade captain?? they all stare back amused at him.

(y/n), who was visiting, sits on top one of the desks, watching giddily at the monochrome-male's expression. she had no idea what a grade captain even is until nirei explains it to her.

a grade captain is someone who is kind of like a leader and leads the group on tasks or something like that.! anyways, the grade captain for class 2-1 is kaji and now for class 1-1, everyone apparently nominates and chooses sakura for the job.

just then, a loud and booming voice makes the (h/c)-ette jump as she swiftly turns to kaji, who was the reason.

"WHAT'RE YOU ALL DILLY-DALLYING ABOUT!!? IT'S NOT LIKE WE'RE ASKING YA TO BE THE REP!! DON'T TAKE SO DAMN LONG TO DECIDE, IT'S JUST A GRADE CAPTAIN!!!"

(y/n) looks owlishly at kaji. was this the same boy who she met at the candy shop?? he looks so chill and laidback and suddenly he's a ticking time bomb??? just what is this double persona??!

kaji continues shouting as a boy with a mushroom-like hairstyle??..walks up to him and tugs his huge-ass earphones down, and then like magic, the sandy-blonde male's voice returns to normal.

(y/n) sweat-drops, hearing the music blasting loudly from the earphones. ah, she surmise kaji believed he was speaking with his indoor voice..

kaji tells sakura how the guys seem to rely on him and see his as dependable before declaring the mono-chromatic male as the first year grade captain.

everyone thought he had more to say before they all watch in confusion and curiosity as he approaches (y/n), whom blinks at him as he stands in front of her, "..hai..?"

kaji mumbles something to her, making her confused. He grits his teeth, seeing her expression and therefore mutters, "...lollipop..."

realization is shown on (y/n)'s face as she bursts out into giggles, "OOOHH!! you want candy!" she digs into her pocket and pulls out a strawberry flavored lolly, handing it to him as all the boys in the class watch with jaws slacked, "here ya go, kaji~." she grins warmly, causing the tips of his ears to turn red.

the sandy haired male plucks the lolly and unwraps it, sticking it into his mouth as he goes back to his spot. ever since their candy shop encounter, (y/n) would hand him lolly's whenever she see's him around the streets and he would gladly take it. It became a dynamic of sorts between them, unbeknownst to the others.

"EH??! you know kaji-san, (y/n)!??" nirei exclaims in shock as the female nods, explaining to the others how she met the second year grade captain.

"oh, i see!!" the others nod, just then the blonde jumps up, "I HAVE AN IDEA!! can i make a group chat for tamon team first years!??"

the idea got everyone excited as they all dig out their phones and exchange numbers as (y/n) watches amused. Just then, she blinks as nirei asks her for her contact info, surprising her.

"eh? you want mine, too?? but i'm not apart of your school." she points out, making the boys look at her.

kiryu looks warmly at the (h/c)-ette, "(y/n)-chan, it doesn't matter whether you're bofurin or not, you're still our friend and we'd like keep contact with you." he flashes her a soothing smile, making her flush as she reluctantly agrees.

she stares owlishly at her phone that held 38 contacts in them. woah, my friend list just expanded!!
