29: Let Me Help You

choppy bangs scratches his head, clicking his tongue in annoyance, "..this is a drag," he looks at his men, "alright everyone, there's no point in beating him. hold him down." the mob closes in kanji and the others.

shizuka stands behind (y/n) as she stood next to nirei. the fight was progressively getting worse but any guy that tries to get close to either of them, the female beats them down in no time. she obviously did not have a body of man but that doesn't mean she can't deal some serious damage. she was a street-fighter, after all. this is nothing to her...minus the stamina at times.

just then, the echoes of high heels clacking on the roads caught their attention.

"goodness girl," tsubakino inches closer with the twins by his side, "you just suddenly up and disappeared...you really scared us, hun."

shizuka bit her lip harshly as tsubakino stands in front of her. despite what (y/n) told her, she still felt doubt within her. she just wants to protect everyone, avoid all the bloodshed, even if meant...sacrificing her dreams and the life she had built for herself.

"...i can't be here...i shouldn't be here! If i go away, no one else has to get hurt." the blonde scrunches her clothes up as (y/n) pats her back, understanding her internal struggles. after all, it isn't easy to see the one's you care about getting hurt for your sake. It made sense to the (h/c)-ette that shizuka would try to find a way of her own to stop them from hurting.

earlier, tsubakino had heard what (y/n) said and was glad the female was able to put in a few words of her own to make shizuka open her eyes, but it looks like she needs a little more...convincing.

"mhm...but...what do you...want?"

shizuka widens her eyes as a new wave of tears fell down her face, "i want to stay here with everyone!" tsubakino smiles, pulling the singer into a side hug.

"i feel the same way. come now, you should go back to where it's safe, okay?"

shizuka clutches her hands to her chest, weeping, "i'm so sorry for dragging everyone into this."

tsubakino grins, "don't be so formal, girl! I'm doing this for my cute little sister! don't sweat it!"

a drawling sigh was heard, catching everyone's attention as all eyes went to choppy bangs, "ahhh, sheesh. I don't know who you people are..but you just came swooping in from nowhere. that's so mean. do you really want to let her live a life not fit for her? Now, our quests have changed. we gotta beat all you guys before we can proceed."

tsubakino chuckles.

"you know..all this talk is just...idiocy. I bet, you're just jealous of shizuka," the bofurin heavenly king points out, making (y/n) stifle a giggle, "the type of guys who dunk on what people are passionate about...almost all of them have some kind of problem with themselves."

choppy bangs scratches his head, "...i have no idea what you guys think you can do with three extra bodies...i'm sick of this. i want to end this now. Hey team, the moneybags are right in front of you, now get serious and crush 'em!"

the mob rushes forward towards the roppo ichiza, more determined than ever.

sakura was about to rush in impulsively, when tsubakino calls out to them, "sakura. suo, nirei. (y/n)." the four of them face bofurin heavenly king, "i want..you four to stay back and protect shizuka...please."

sakura frowns, he wants to fight. yet, despite his desperation to get out there and use his fists, he realizes tsubakino and the others entrusting the most important person to him and the others. He suddenly remembers kaji's words. He has to focus on what comes first, what the priority is.
