With a gentle knock resonating from the door, Vaidehi stirred from her comfortable position above Viyansh and slowly stood up from the bed. She began making her way toward the door, but Viyansh reached out and gently took hold of her hand, causing her to pause and glance back at him.
Vaidehi: "Kya hua Ansh?"
(What happened, Ansh?)Viyansh: "Jaana, sabko bataogi kya main yaha kaise aaya hu?? "
(Dear, will you tell everyone how I came here?)Vaidehi: "Ohh yeah."
Viyansh: "Let me hide first."
Vaidehi: "Ansh aap washroom me chup jaiye."
(Ansh, hide in the washroom.)Viyansh quickly ran into the washroom, leaving Vaidehi to face whoever was at the door. Vaidehi composed herself, her hand steady as she turned the handle and opened the door. Standing there was Sangeeta, her expression warm and caring. She held a glass of turmeric milk, the golden liquid glistening in the light. Sangeeta's eyes softened when she saw Vaidehi.
Vaidehi: "Mumma?"
Sangeeta: "Kya hua beta kab se knock kar rahi hu, thik toh hai na?"
(What happened, dear? I've been knocking for a while. Are you okay?)Vaidehi: "Ji mumma bas washroom me thi."
(Yes, Mumma, I was just in the washroom.)Sangeeta: "Achcha okay, ahh kya main andar aa sakti hu der ke liye??"
(Okay, can I come in for a bit?)Vaidehi was initially taken aback, but she quickly regained her composure and responded with confidence.
Vaidehi: "Ahh vo actually kya hum kal baat kare?? Main thodi thak gayi hu, nind aa rahi hai."
(Actually, can we talk tomorrow? I'm a bit tired and feeling sleepy.)Sangeeta gently patted Vaidehi's cheeks, a warm smile spreading across her face.
Sangeeta: "Okay, but have this turmeric milk first. It's good for your immunity."
Vaidehi reached out and took the tray from Sangeeta's hands, carefully balancing it as she smiled back appreciatively.
Vaidehi: "Okay."
Sangeeta: "No, drink it in front of me. I know you don't like milk and won't drink it otherwise."
Vaidehi smiled warmly at her mother, touched by the fact that Sangeeta still remembered these small but meaningful details about her. It was these gestures that made her feel loved and cherished.
Vaidehi: "No no ab main pi leti hu, don't worry. Aap bhi jaake araam kar lo."
(No, no, I'll drink it now. Don't worry. You should go and rest too.)Sangeeta leaned in and kissed Vaidehi on the forehead, a gesture filled with affection and care. Vaidehi smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her. The simple act of kindness brought a sense of comfort and reassurance.
Sangeeta: "Okay, good night beta."
Vaidehi: "Good night mumma."
As Sangeeta smiled warmly and left, Vaidehi sighed softly, closing the door behind her. She closed the door behind her mother and turned back into the room. Meanwhile, Viyansh, hearing the sound of the closing door, returned to find Vaidehi placing the tray with the glass of milk on the side table. Moved by a surge of affection, he quietly approached her from behind and wrapped his arms around her waist in a gentle back hug. His arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her close to him, their bodies fitting together in a comforting embrace. Vaidehi leaned back into his embrace, feeling his warmth and the reassuring beat of his heart against her back. Viyansh rested his chin on her shoulder, his breath soft against her neck as he held her tenderly.
