POV: Caitlyn

"You really went to the Undercity to get these? Weren't you afraid?" I asked Jayce as we walked down the hall.

"A little danger is worth the risk... don't you think?" Jayce answered.

With the box of trinkets in hand, I smiled at him while we walked, but panicked slightly as one fell out.

"Oh." I said as I slowed my gait to get the dropped trinket.

"Uh, careful. That's your parents' money you're dropping." Jayce said as he continued on walking.

I stopped to a halt and bent down to retrieve it.

Jayce had reached the end of the hall and put the key in the lock so he could unlock the door. He twisted the doorknob but seemed to have trouble opening it. He grunted as he tried over and over, but stopped pushing when he heard noises on the other side.

"Hello? Is someone there?" Jayce called out.

Jayce panicked when he saw something and rushed to the door so he could get it unlocked.

"Hey! Open up!" Jayce yelled as he tried the key again.

Try as he might it wouldn't open so he resorted to running into it with his shoulder.

I didn't think this was the best method of opening up the door, but he seemed to be becoming more panicked by the second so something must have been really wrong.

Jayce stopped, took a few steps back, and used his leg to kick the door in.

But...

When he kicked it in, an explosion rocked the building and came back through the door.

It launched Jayce back into the wall and seemed to disorient him.

He groaned in pain.

I rushed to his side in a matter of seconds.

I was too late though.

As soon as I had gotten there, Jayce started to fall to the left.

"Jayce? Jayce!" I yelled as he hit the floor.

Right now, I was watching Vi hit on the simulator.

We were in the arcade and Vi has been obsessed with beating my high score.

I told her it would never happen, but she just glared at me and turned it on anyway.

I shrugged my shoulders and sat down.

I watched Vi in a trance.

The simulator had 4 arms. Two punching ones on top and two rectangular pads to get punched on the bottom. It also had two pads you could punch in the middle. One upper middle pad, and one lower middle pad. The last hit point was the head which had Mylo's face on it courtesy of Powder. The point of the simulator was to dodge the top two and land as many hits as you could on the other four plus the head.

Vi was in what I liked to call the zone right now.

One hit to the head then she dodges the right and left top arms. Another hit to the bottom right arm pad then she dodges the right top arm with only a small gap in between her face and the arm. She gets a few hits on the left bottom pad before she dodges another hit from the top right arm. After she does that, she uppercuts the bottom right bad with a bang.
