Running.

Vi and I were running to get back to The Last Drop as fast as we could.

I decided to fully shift and have her ride on my back because it was faster than running on two feet.

It only took a few minutes to get there.

I shifted back, burst through the doors of The Last Drop, and hurried to the stairs.

I burst through the next door that led to our rooms.

Everyone was already there.

"Well, if the enforcers hit tonight, we'll be ready... I think." Mylo said.

"Dibs on that." Claggor replied.

They both were crowded around a pile of weapons.

Good

We'll need everything.

"No, no, no, no. I found it." Mylo whined.

"But I called it." Claggor replied.

"But I found it." Mylo whined again.

"Respect the dibs."

"GUYS!" I roared.

That got their attention.

"Dina?" Mylo said.

"Vi?" Claggor said also just a few seconds after Mylo.

Vi doesn't answer them and I don't either.

"Where's the-"

Vi had frantically ran down the stairs, but was stopped when Powder hugged her. She was breathing shakily and couldn't even respond to her own sister. She just went right to the pile of weapons on the floor, but again was stopped by Mylo this time.

"Hey, those are Vanders... What's going on?" Mylo asked as he started to see the state Vi was in. "And are you hands bloody Dina? What the hell happened while you were out?"

"Guys..." I said wearily as I ran my hands through my short hair.

"Benzo's dead." Vi blurted out as she looked at the floor.

"Dead?" Claggor repeated, shocked.

"They took Pop." I added as I walked up to everyone.

"Who took Vander?" Mylo asked as he looked my way.

"I-" Vi was about to say, but I cut her off.

"Silco." I said gravely.

"Huh? Who's Silco?" Mylo asked, confused.

"A dead man. Or... he was supposed to be..." I said, brows furrowed.

"That doesn't matter. It doesn't matter, D. We need to fucking help him." Vi said tiredly.

"We're going with you." Mylo said right after Vi's confession.

"Whatever killed Benzo... was nothing like I've ever seen..." I admitted.

"It tore him apart." Vi said, voice rough, fist clenched at her sides, tears forming in her eyes.

Damn... I didn't- I didn't want her to see that... I didn't think she had...

Everyone crowded around Vi as she cried and tried to comfort her.
