What a complete idiot!

How can she be so- so moronic! Sacrificing herself for us? That's my job! I'm the leader! I should bear my people's burdens! My crews! She shouldn't have to pay for my choices! She wasn't the one to suggest that we go topside or that we should listen to Little Man...

I can't let her do this

I- I won't let her.

When I see her, I swear-

"Dina! You have to calm down!" Pop said behind me.

We were currently hauling ass to get to Vi in time so she wouldn't go through with this moronic plan of her.

"I am calm. Can't you tell?" I rumbled.

"I can tell that you are close to shifting, my lion. Calm yourself. We need to have clear heads when we get to where Vi is." Pop said.

"I'm trying. It's hard when someone I care about is about to do something stupid." I replied as my feet pounded on the ground beneath me.

"I know you care about her, Dina. I know. I also know you care for her more than you would like to admit. Even to yourself, my lion." Pop said out of nowhere.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I replied through gritted teeth.

"You think I can't see how you look at her, Dina? How much you like her fight? How much you enjoy her company even if she is a pain in your ass?" Pop supplied.

"We don't have time to do this right now. We need to make sure she's ok. This- this doesn't matter. It can't. Not right now." I said sadly.

"For what it's worth. I ain't seen two people more suited to be with one another." Benzo added.

"I... appreciate that." I replied softly.

When we finally reached where that moron was holed up, I kicked in the door with my enhanced strength and made Vi jump up in surprise.

Pop raced into the room with Benzo and I right behind him.

"Dina? Vander?" Vi asked, confused.

Vi stood there stiffly looking at us and I couldn't help but let my lion voice her displeasure.

Vi looked at me and I narrowed my eyes at her.

Pop sighed

"We don't have much time." Pop said.

"How- how did you guys find me?" Vi asked.

Pop went to her and put his hands on her shoulders.

"I'm proud of you. Always have been." Pop said as he gently took her head in his hands so she would look at him.

I might be proud, but I'm also angry...

"I'm sorry I... This is the only way to protect the others." Vi said sadly as she looked at Pop and then to me, her eyes pleading, but I could only stare at her.

Dogs barked in the distance which meant they were getting closer to us.

"Vander!" Benzo whispered harshly.
