The night wasn't quiet but it felt lonely.

Mora sat on the front step of the cabin. She completely avoided everyone when she got back after finding out the worst news of her teenage life.

Stumbling through the woods, she'd suffered a few minor scraps and cuts. She couldn't see where she was going and pointy plants kept gnashing up her legs.

"I'm so stupid." She folded her arms over her lap and hid her face in them. "Hana and Sanae kissed. And everyone hid it from me."

No one was around to hear her words, but she needed to say them out loud.

She stared into the darkness of the woods and listened to the dull sounds of her parents partying with their friends. She would have gone right to Tooru, but she didn't want to break up the adults' fun with her sad. She didn't want everyone staring at her, knowing what happened.

The sound of laughter roared before dulling again as the front door to the cabin opened and closed.

Mora glanced behind her and saw her brother holding a blanket.

"Mora?" Yasu quietly asked, "Do you want to talk?"

She looked up at him and shrugged.

"Can I sit?"

She nodded.

Yasu sat down and wrapped the blanket around both of their shoulders, protecting Mora from the cold. "I'm sorry."

"Did Hana really kiss her first?" Mora leaned her head on Yasu's shoulder. She had no idea what was discussed earlier in the woods after she stormed off. There was a sliver of hope that there was more to the story.

"Hana said she didn't, and honestly I believe her."

"If Sanae was the one to kiss her then why wouldn't Hana just tell me. That's what I'm most mad about." She grumbled, "And Sayumi saw and didn't say a word."

Everything Mora put into her relationship with Hana felt like a lie. More like, everything Hana put into their relationship felt like a lie. Mora's love was genuine and she wasn't out kissing other people. That's what hurt the most. She loved Hana so much and she felt betrayed by her.

Mora noticed Yasu's scent floating through the air. She sniffed a bit and realized it was distressed now but an angry twinge lingered. "What happened?"

Yasu held his breath for a second before he hung his head, "I yelled at Sayumi and she dropped."

The words sent a sharp gasp through Mora's chest. "She dropped?! Is she okay?"

"Yeah... she is now. Rin and Avrora woke her up."

"Yasu..." Mora clasped her hands to her chest. She could have been there to help Sayumi. Despite everything that happened, she didn't wish ill on her friends.

"I didn't mean to. I was just so mad that she hurt you." He put his head in his hands. "Just ten minutes before everything happened she told me how you guys are best friends and that she would do anything for you. I don't understand why she hurt you like this."

"I don't know but I really don't want to talk to any of them." She huddled closer to him. "Just you. And maybe Avrora, but I don't know. She didn't do anything but it's so embarrassing."

Yasu did something he hadn't done in a while. He used his scent to comfort someone. "We've got one more full day of vacation left. We can avoid them for one day." He scented Mora and hoped it would help her feel better.

"Starting with sleeping arrangements. I refuse to sleep in the same room as any of them." Mora held her head up high. She quietly mourned the loss of sleeping next to Hana. The last week had been bliss sleeping in her arms but now it's all ruined.
