I knew that what we were doing was definitely not safe and we most definitely should not be doing it but this thing has hurt my friends and I know that Harry and Ron would still do these idiotic things without me with a much lower likelihood of survival. I might not like fighting and the like but I was good at it, a lot better than most my age.

However, I knew despite this that if my mates knew then they would most definitely try to convince me not to, so the only one that I actually told was Draco. It hurt to keep lying to my mates but I am sure they would understand when I inevitably confessed the truth.

That's why once all of my mates had fallen asleep I climbed out of the pile beside Draco as we then both proceeded to get dressed. Once in clothes suitable for going outside I shifted into fox form and curled up in Draco's lap to wait for my brother and friend.

When the two boys arrived at the door they were clearly not happy about once again seeing Draco but accepted defeat quickly when I hissed at them. I was also secretly hoping that this would help my friends and mate would grow more accustomed to each-other and their disagreements would become less frequent.

The four of us huddled under the cloak and hurried to Hagrid's hut where we leave the cloak. "C'mon Fang, we're going for a walk." Harry says and the dog quickly hurries out the door and I follow after him on four legs. It will be much easier to see in this form than my other one.

When we reach the forest Harry says a quick "Lumos." That causes light to emanate from his wand and Draco follows suit, keeping close to me as he keeps scanning the forest, I doubt he would even have come if he hadn't been worried about my safety.

"Good thinking." Ron says. "I'd light mine too, but you know - it'd probably blow up or something...." I cut him off with a bark when my eyes find the small spiders scuttling across the floor nearby.

"Ok, I'm ready. let's go." Ron announces.

"What you scared of a few itty bitty spiders huh, Weasley." Draco sneers and I gently bite at his ankles to show my annoyance.

"Shut up Malfoy." Ron hisses in return as we follow after the eight legged creatures deeper into the forest. We walk in silence following them deeper and deeper into the forest until they stray from the path.

"What d'you reckon?" Harry asks us.

"We've come this far." Is Ron's shaky response. I let out a small yip and bounce on my paws. I'm assuming Harry nods as we begin to follow the spiders into uncharted territory.

We end up having to stop so the others could also see the spiders, their vision not as clear as mine. We stop again when Fang lets out a loud bark and I have to suppress a whimper as I make our the very large form making it's way towards us.

"What?" Ron says as I feel Draco pick me up and hold me in his arms.

"There's something moving over there, listen.... sounds like something big." I let out a quiet yip to confirm his suspicions.

"Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh-"

"Shut up." Harry and Draco both hiss at him. "It'll hear you." Harry follows on.

"Hear me? It's already heard fang!"

"What d'you think it's doing?" Harry asks.

"Probably getting ready to pounce." Ron supplies and I feel Draco hold me tighter and shift his feet slightly as if preparing to run.

"D'you think it's gone?" Harry asks and I whimper.

"Dunno-" Ron's genius answer is cut off by blinding light to our right and we turn to find Mr. Weasley's car there instead of some monster. "Harry! Harry it's our car!"

"What?" Draco exclaims clearly confused.

"Come on!" Ron demands before hurrying over to the vehicle. "It's been here all the time! Look at it. The forest's turned it wild." The car honestly did look wild. it was scratched and smeared with mud and looked a lot worse than the last time I had seen it. "And we thought it was going to attack us. I wondered where it had gone."

"I thought we were out here to follow the spiders not find your missing muggle vehicle." Draco hisses in clear annoyance but I can hear how his heart rate is now starting to slow down once more.

"We've lost the trail, come on, let's go and find them." Harry says but before we can do anything we are all seized by long hairy legs that carry us through the forest. I turn slightly to find that we are being carried by very large hairy spiders and am extremely grateful that I unlike Ron do not have arachnophobia.

The spiders stop in a clearing and drop un to the ground. I quickly leap onto the floor and scan the surroundings finding us completely surrounded by spiders of varying sizes. "Aragog! Aragog!" The spiders seem to say.

"What is it." Comes a new voice from a spider the size of an elephant that stands before us.

"Men." Clicks the spider who caught my brother.

"Is it Hagrid?" Aragog asks.

"Strangers."

"Kill them, I was sleeping..."

"We're friends of Hagrid's." Harry shouts causing Aragog to pause.

"Hagrid has never sent men into our hollow before."

"Hagrid's in trouble, that's why we've come."

"In trouble? But why has he sent you?" I zone out of the conversation as I continue scanning our surroundings knowing this will not end well.

When I hear Aragog wish us goodbye just as the spiders begin to come at us I shift back and begin to fire off spells. One spider manages to get through and leaps at me but end up hitting an invisible wall the appears around me from the ring.

I shoot it a quick look just as Draco grabs my hand and begins pulling me after the others to the car which has now thundered down the slope. We all pile into the car and it speeds us out of there and all the way to the edge of the forest.

"Follow the spiders." Ron hisses as we climb out and head to Hagrid's hut. "I'll never forgive Hagrid. We're lucky to be alive."

"I bet he thought Aragog wouldn't hurt his friends." Harry said.

"That's exactly Hagrid's problem! He always thinks monsters aren't as bad as they're made out to, and look where it's got him! A cell in Azkaban. What was the point of sending us in there?" What have we sound out, I'd like to know?"

"That Hagrid never opened the chamber of secrets, he was innocent." With that we all pile under the cloak and head back to our rooms, Harry and Ron dropping us off at our first before heading to Gryffindor tower.

I quickly climb into bed with my mates and just curl into all of them, letting their warmth fill and comfort me.
