Good day, everyone! Today, we bring to you the diary night of some of our contestants.
[Q: Question, A: Answer, M: Moderator]
Let's get into it:
025 RENE
Q: How are you doing today?
A: I'm feeling alright and you
M: Great.
Q: Some contestants had a lot to say about the judges last review. Do you think the judges were fair in their review? Give details.
A: To be honest, I believe they were fair but I mean it's kind of a judge's nature to be brutally honest so some comments stung even though they weren't even for my story but regardless it's for our own good because this kind of commentary or review will not be easily forgotten and with that you'd be able to correct yourself before they do it for you. Like the part about me sticking to a particular tense, I think I've figured it out. Didn't actually know that I had a problem with that. But Imma work on that.
Q: Did the last stage go the way you expected? Also, how did you feel on the verdict night?
A: Now the last stage was beyond my expectations. This is my first time on project pen and the experience was new to me. From how we got the guidelines for our entry to how the judges review was... Something. And the verdict night, I was extremely nervous. Emphasis on extremely because after I submitted, it was then I realized I didn't use the prompt. Goddamn I was scared. To be honest I already ruled myself out only to be given JVOM.
Q: How did you feel when you discovered you were in the red line? Also, when you found out you were one of the reddest four, did you expect to receive the JVOM?
A: When I found out I was in the red line, I wasn't surprised in the least. Coming to read the reviews and my story again, I knew I messed up big time. Like I said I already ruled myself out and it was really stressing not gonna lie. Then about receiving the JVOM, I wasn't expecting it at allllllll because I knew my chances were slim considering I forgot the whole prompt cries in original ekun egbere I was discouraged and lost all hope. In fact on the verdict night, I wanted to just have my bath and rest but with the suspense and tension I couldn't but when I realized I got the JVOM I was relieved. I'm really grateful for it and I don't take it for granted because it could have been me but for the judges to give me a second chance, I'm truly honored.
Q: What's your thoughts on this stage, also what do you think about your opponent?
A: This stage is not gonna be easy. The name of the stage alone is enough to send chills down your spine. It is very challenging but I mean that's the whole purpose of the competition but I do intended on finding a solution quickly because I know my opponent is not gonna go easy on me. Speaking of my opponent, Trafalgar is good and I expect nothing less than a good write up. It's gonna be tough to beat but I'll pull through.
