CHAPTER 48: MANSION'S DARK JAIL

Lilith's POV

"I can't believe I'm here." Mahina kong sabi habang nakahilig sa selda ng kulungan.

Ang kamay ko ay nakahawak sa selda. Ang suot ko ay iyong gown ko pa galing sa party.

Nang makauwi kami ni Philip galing sa party ng ama ni Caesar ay agad na kaming hinuli ng mga security ng Levovski dahil kaming dalawa daw ang suspect sa pagpatay kina Caesar at mistress Avila.

"And I can't believe about what happened to them." Malungkot kong sabi.

Sinabi sa amin ni Jason ang head ng security na namatay daw si Caesar at Avila sa pagsabog ng kanilang sasakyan. May bomba daw sa ilalim nito at sumabog habang nakasakay sila sa sasakyan.

And now they are claiming that we have something to do with it because we were the last people that they were with.

"I'm going to kill Jason for putting us here! We didn't do anything! They still don't have any evidence and now they are putting us here!"

"Calm down. Shouting won't do a thing." Mahinang sabi ni Philip sa kabilang selda.

"Aren't you angry?" Tanong ko sabay tingin sa kanya na ngayon ay nakaupo lamang sa kama habang ang siko ay nasa tuhod.

Magkatabi lang ang selda namin at mga rehas lang ng bakal ang nakapagitan sa amin kaya nakikita namin ang isat isa.

"I'm worried." Sagot niya.

Bumuntong hininga naman ako at lumapit sa rehas.

"Don't listen to them... They are... Lying. Our master and mistress are still alive."

I won't believe it until I see it.

Bumuntong hininga si Philip. "I just hope Levovski family isn't the one who's behind this. There will be a war if that happened."

"No. It's not them."

Natigilan kami ni Philip at napatingin sa kaharap naming selda. Lumapit sa ilaw ang babae at doon ko na nalaman kung sino iyon.

"Mistress Wendy."

"It's Veno Family."

Kumunot ang noo ko at lumapit sa rehas.

"Mistress Grace family?" Tanong ko.

"They are the one who framed me to get me out of the picture."

Nanliit ang mata ko dahil kaduda-duda siya.

"If you don't wanna believe me, then don't." Matigas niyang sabi sabay walk out. "Grace's family wants Caesar's wealth. If Caesar is dead and I'm here, they'll be the one who will hold his wealth."

Kumunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya.

"But there's still mistress Penelope. I'm sure if master is dead, she'll be the one who will inherit his wealth." Sabi naman ni Philip na ngayon ay nakatayo na.

"No." Sabay iling ko. "It will be risky for Penelope to be here. Levovski family is hunting her down. Once she step foot on the country, she'll be dead."

"So, she can't help?"

Umiling ako at hinilamos ang kamay para makalma ang sarili.

So, all of this are planned by Veno Family?

"Can't she really help with this one? Why does Levovski wants her dead though?"

Nainis naman ako. Hindi sa tanong niya kundi sa sagot nito.

"Aegon wants her too. Aegon is angry because she got married to Caesar. That's why Aegon wants her dead."
