That night, when Kaiju No. 8 was first detected, he found you once again. His name was called out, but the voice, though familiar, belonged to a different person from his memories.

His heart ached for the attention he had longed for, yet he knew he had no recollection of this blonde girl in his memories. Your hair was different, but there was something about your face that vaguely reminded him of her.

"Soshiro..." That voice echoed in his mind as he saw you again. Unconsciously, he approached you. When you turned your head and saw him, he was as surprised by his actions as you were. "You... you seem fine now," he said hesitantly, remembering the event yesterday.

"Ah, yes?" you responded, startled by his approach.

He quickly thought something to bring up, he assessed your potential as a fighter and thought that perhaps recommending you for the recruitment exam might give you a better chance of joining the Third Division. Releasing your arm, he handed you his card. "I'll give you a recommendation to join our unit in the upcoming recruitment," he said, his interest evident.

"Thank you, sir. I appreciate your offer," you replied, as his eyes mesmerized your appearance.

He heard your companion call your name, and he muttered under his gas mask, "Umiha..."

It was a different name from what he had expected. He knew that person's name was (Y/N), but why did she appear in his memories when he saw you?

As you quickly bowed and walked away to join your companions, he watched you through the glass windows of the ambulance door, still wondering why he was having these vague memories.

Finally, you joined the recruitment exam, and he was impressed by your performance. Yet, something about you kept him intrigued. Minimal background information and lingering suspicions clouded his thoughts. 'Something isn't right in my memories,' he mused. You didn't resemble Kafka in any way, but there was a striking similarity to Shinomiya's prodigy, Kikoru.

He marveled at your skills during the neutralization exam-your adept handling of your weapon, your agility in combat, and your heightened alertness. What intrigued him most were the abnormal readings in your suit compatibility.

To him, you were a rare find in this year's recruitment. Quite the opposite of your older brother, Kafka Hibino.

'I need to know her more,' he decided, watching you on the screen as you collaborated with your companions during the exam.

After the recruitment, Kafka Hibino failed the exam, prompting you to reconsider joining the Defense Force. This decision took him by surprise.

Inside his office, where he had invited you for a consultation after you informed the administration via email, he sat across from you, staring intently.
