'i once believed love would be burning red, but it's golden'in nessa's opinion, a week had never went by slower. she felt like she woke up on wednesday, went to school, then to bed and when she woke up it was tuesday. but finally it was friday and she could have her 2 days of peace.
well, would've had if it wasn't for carlas birthday party. hopefully she'd be able to leave early if she came up with a good enough excuse.
it wasn't that she didn't love carla. quite the opposite actually. they had known each other scince 1st grade, but didn't start talking before 3rd when they randomly clicked after being put next to each other in class. but carla wasn't very hard to influence and often did what others wanted her to please them. so when augustine, her oldest friend who was also starting to pick mia over her because she was more popular had begged her to have a party and invite a bunch of people, of course she didn't turn her down. even if that wasn't what she wanted.
nessa had put on some blue jeans and a white crop top with some basic ear rings and a necklace. she saw no point in trying that much when the only person that would even give a second of their time to think about what she was wearing was herself.
lynn on the other hand was spending way to much time for her liking on deciding what to wear. obviously she couldn't just go with what she usually wore, knowing it would be weird if she showed up in sportswear to a birthday. there was a minute she was concidered wearing a skirt, but figured it would look like she cared enough to think through her outfit so she quickly left that thought.
the door opened, making her lift her gaze up from the pile of clothes currently laying on the floor.
"a little birdie told me you were going out tonight" she wasn't even surprised when she saw luna walking in. nor was she going to bother asking how she knew she was going out because she needed to find something to wear that didn't make her look homeless.
luna saw the desperate look on her little sister's face as she dropped yet another shirt onto the floor. "lynn, don't overthink it. no one cares what you wear. well as long as you don't wear that" she pointed at her current outfit that consisted of soccer shorts with the initials l.l on the left thigh and her usual red hoodie with a number 1 print on the back. lynn gave a lost stare to luna who started rummaging the heap of clothes. she picked up the white skirt lynn threw away about 50 pieces of clothing ago, putting it next to her.
"do you seriously not own one piece of clothing that isn't red?" the older loud sighed after going through everything. lynn only gave her an 'are you serious' look. luna was about to stand up before seeing the shirt laying on the edge of her bed.
"this isn't dirty i suppose" she held up the dark blue shirt nessa had given her. "i just washed it" the second she finished that sentence both the skirt and the shirt flew straight in her direction. "tell me when youre done"
