Elodie woke up with a start, furious.

"Those little-" She grunted, turning over and stuffing her face into her pillow.

Elodie stormed down to the library after breakfast, knowing her friends would be hanging around down the back near the windows. She was right.

"Hey, Baby!" Peter called, waving enthusiastically. Elodie ignored him and strode confidently up to them. Remus looked worried at the absence of a smile and she stopped with her arms crossed over her chest.

"You stole my stuff!" They all looked at her dumbly. Sirius spoke first.

"Baby, what are you-"

"You stole my shoes and my books!" The boys' faces dropped but the girls still looked confused. "In Third Year, all of my textbooks and my school shoes disappeared for a whole week! I had to walk around in school socks! Don't you remember, Remus? That was the first time we'd ever spoken, I helped you up the stairs when you were hurt. I can't believe you all!" Elodie ranted, and Sirius had to bite his tongue to keep from laughing. She was cute when she got mad. Remus looked down, ashamed, and James followed suit. He didn't like to be reminded of when he was so dreadfully immature.

"I'm sorry, Elodie. Really," Remus said, pulling her gently down to sit with them. She pouted, still upset she didn't get any explanation for it.

"Yeah, Baby, we are sorry. We were stupid little gits back then," James apologised.

"Please forgive us, Baby. We love you," Sirius leaned towards her, laying his head on her shoulder and looking up at her with puppy eyes. Elodie took a moment to consider then broke out into a smile. Her friends all cheered and she shook her head.

"I'm too soft."

"At least you've only been pranked once," Mary laughed once the tension had dissolved, "The girls and I have been bearing the brunt of this for years."

"Except for Snivellus," Marlene added, causing the others to agree.

"Why is that?" Elodie turned to the boys. "Even my roommates have been pranked a few times, but you've only stolen my stuff once."

"Well, at first I had a crush on you, so I couldn't upset you then. After that, well, you helped Moony after... uh, without knowing him, so we all just left you alone." James explained and Elodie stared at him.

"After what?"

"Nothing, I just... stuttered, sorry," James spat out, too quickly to be believable. Nevertheless, Elodie knew not to push it and nodded.

The group stayed in the library for hours, doing homework, or, in James and Sirius' cases, enchanting balled-up scraps of parchment to bother everyone else. Elodie had finished her Transfiguration essay easily and was left with nothing to do, so she picked up a novel and tried to start reading. Tried.

"Baby," Sirius moaned, "I'm bored." Elodie rolled her eyes, smiling.

"Go talk to James, then." She tried not to sound too blunt and turned back to her reading.

"But James is talking to Lily," Sirius laid his body weight on top of her, making Elodie close the book fully. She looked over to where James and Lily sat next to each other, whispering jokes to one another. Elodie smiled, they were perfect for each other, no matter how Lily would deny it. Although, she thought, Lily didn't deny it so much anymore, she usually just laughed it off.

"Alright. What do you suppose we do then?" She looked back at Sirius, who had now popped back up so they were face to face.

"I would suggest we go out in the snow, but Moony'll kill me if I get in any trouble so we're limited to the library," Sirius said, making Remus look up from his essay.
