Missing You, Dad

I miss you so much, Dad,
Every day, it feels so wrong,
I’m trying hard to stay strong,
I promise I’ll make you proud and belong.

I’m brave, though you’re not here,
And sometimes the weight is tough,
I wish you could gently touch my hair
And whisper, “You’re enough.”

I hear them talk about their dads
Who catches them when they fall,
“I had a terrible day today, Dad,”
I am crying in my room alone.

I’m struggling to hide my tears,
But inside, I’m breaking apart,
Your absence leaves a void so wide,
And presses heavy on my heart.

I miss you more than words can tell,
Through every lonely night and day,
In my heart, you’re always close,
Guiding me through the darkest way.
