Horrific

        That sight... That horrific sight... It made me sick to my stomach... I didn't like those girls after what they did to me... But they were so young... They didn't know any better... I remember it like it was yesterday... No... It was yesterday.

I was walking back to my bedroom, but when I opened the door, I saw the bodies of Sumi, Kiyo, and Naho. Sumi's head was bashed in, and Kiyo's throat was slit, but Naho... Her body was mutilated so badly that she was almost unrecognizable.

I felt sick to my stomach. Who would do such a thing...? They were seven... I think I fainted from the shock, and when I woke up, I found that my bedroom was spotless. It was like they were never there in the first place. But... As I stared at the spot where I found them, I couldn't help but feel a chill go down my spine.

Today, they were holding a funeral for the girls. Of course, I attended. Why wouldn't I attend? Sure, they took part in my kidnapping, but Shinobu most likely manipulated them.

As I sat through the service, I couldn't get my mind off of how young they were. I glanced around at the people in attendance. My parents weren't in attendance, so I was with my siblings. Shinobu, Kanae, Aoi, and Kanao were here, as well. They looked so sad, which was understandable. I couldn't imagine what they were going through. I had to look away from them, though, because memories of what they did to me started flooding back.

After the funeral, I just needed to get away. I wanted to leave the castle and be somewhere alone. But, I knew that was impossible, so I left the palace with Yorrichi to a place that I hadn't been to in a while. I would've needed to go there, anyway. The spot where the Blue Spider Lilies grew.

It was refreshing, seeing them so bright and glowy. It brought some light to the darkness that had been surrounding me for a while. I sat on the ground in front of the flowers and didn't say a word. I heard footsteps coming from the side of me, and I tensed up. I looked and saw... Inosuke? A face that I haven't seen in a while.

He sat beside me and trained his gaze on me. He was about to say something but paused.

"... Something's wrong," he huffed, furrowing his brows, "Something happened to you, M/N!"

"Y/N..." I corrected.

"Whatever!"

He reached over and poked my arm.

"What happened to you, huh? I haven't seen you in a while, y'know! Tanjiro's goin' crazy!"

"... Do me a favor, Inosuke, and don't tell him I was here."

"Who do you think you are, ordin'-"

"Inosuke!" I said firmly, narrowing my eyes slightly.

He shrunk away and nodded, which was unusual for him. Nonetheless, I took a deep breath and turned back to the Spider Lilies. I was there for what felt like an eternity before reaching out to pluck a handful of them.

"This should be enough..." I uttered as I stood, "See you around, Inosuke."

        Tanjiro watched as she walked off from behind a tree. He had picked up on her scent and followed it. She looked so pretty, especially with the glow of the Blue Spider Lilies bouncing off of her skin.

He hasn't seen her in so long... He needs to... do something about it.

✿Sengoku-Era Secrets✿

❥ Kyojuro killed Sumi, Mitsuri killed Kiyo, and Obanai killed Naho. Kyojuro chose a blow to the head because he wanted her to have an instant death, Mitsuri slit her throat because she wanted to prolong it, but not too bad, and Obanai mutilated her because he wanted her to suffer.

❥ By this point, Tanjiro has fully gone insane (except he's still smart, kinda).
