Two days. Kibutsuji said that he wants to spend today with me because he can't tomorrow. It's to... 'work up an appetite.' Gross...
He laid out a black furisode with
F/C details for me. Black isn't really my color, but I didn't have an option, so I wore it. He took me with him to town. As I looked out the carriage windows, I saw the same thing that I saw the first time I came to town. People stared, but this time, I could sense a hint of fear within the crowds. The carriage eventually stopped, and Kibutsuji helped me out."I trust that Kokushibo took you here on the day that you went to the tailor?" He hummed, walking alongside me while Kokushibo walked silently behind us.
I nodded, my gaze not meeting his as I instead scanned the various vendors. Kokoshubo and I were on a schedule, so I didn't have the time to see too much. My eyes stopped on a kanzashi vendor's stand. In the center of the display was an ivory hairpin, pieces of B/S (Birth Stone) carefully embedded in it. Kibutsuji caught my eye and grinned.
"Do you like that?" He asked.
Without waiting for a reply, he walked over to the vendor and bought it, not bothering to negotiate the price. The vendor put it in a velvet box, and Kibutsuji walked back over to me and put the kanzashi in my hair.
"There. Now you're even more perfect," he complimented.
I didn't know whether to be flattered or not. I don't like Kibutsuji by any means, but does he like me? Well, I wouldn't think so. I'm pretty sure his only feelings towards me are obsession. But still, that was thoughtful. I guess. I offered him a small smile and glanced away.
"Thank you..."
He smiled in return, and he leaned down to press a kiss to the top of my head. It took everything in me not to cringe. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see that Kokushibo's expression hardened ever so slightly.
"Come, my love, there's still so many other things we must see," Kibutsuji said, grabbing my hand and dragging me through the town.
He took me to various shops, where I got jewelry, kimonos, makeup, and food, among other things. I almost forgot that he had kidnapped me. Almost. I'm not one to pass up on free stuff, especially if it's food!
By the time we finished, it was nightfall. We went back to the carriage and sat in silence as it carried us back to the palace. Kibutsuji suddenly broke the silence.
"We can either do this the easy way or the hard way," he hummed, "Tell me where the Blue Spider Lily is."
The Blue Spider Lily...? I completely forgot about that... I didn't say anything, instead biting my lip and looking out the window.
"I see... Well, that's fine. I'll get it out of you on our wedding day."
As soon as he finished speaking, the carriage came to a stop, and he walked out. This time, he didn't help me out, so Kokushibo did. As I walked back inside, I couldn't help but wonder... What did he mean by that...?
