"so? he called you his friend and you really believe he sees you as a friend? are you serious? are you kidding? are you joking?" sunoo's eyebrows nearly disappeared into his hairline as he leaned in towards moonbyul menancingly like some kind of interrogator, his disbelief palpable. the poor girl who was just trying to eat her lunch moves back.
"first of all, you're in my no no square" she points out, putting a finger in the middle of his forehead and pushing him back.
"second of, what else am i supposed to believe?" she shrugs, sinking her teeth in her sandwich and chewing with all the enthusiasm of someone who was about to get scolded.she had stayed with riki until four in the morning, talking and sharing bits of their personal lives with each other, their fears, their dreams and the stubborn hopes in their hearts.
but considering how nishimura riki had been acting lately, moonbyul was very much surprised when he called her a good friend (all while holding her in his arms under the starry sky)"his actions moonbyul" sunoo slams a hand on the table, making their lunch boxes (and moonbyul) jump. "actions speak way louder. what did you expect? he basically confessed to you, and considering that your dumbass did not say anything, he had to play it off" sunoo scolds and subsequently rolls his eyes. moonbyul's cheeks flush crimson red and she looks away from the boy lecturing her, embarrassed.
i mean, believing a guy is pretty damn embarrassing.she had admitted it to herself (after sunoo talked her ears off about it) that she indeed liked riki a little bit, that was undeniable.
the thing is, that riki liked her a lot, everyone and their grandma knew, even the walls.
and moonbyul was still grasping onto the idea that when he called her his friend he actually meant it.what did moonbyul know about a guy's head anyway? they came with no manual. they hardly made sense, even on their best days.
most of them are strange, and to her, most of them are not to be taken seriously, because they themselves take nothing seriously.
moonbyul knew how incredibly egocentric a man can be, so she wished to never become a tool of satisfaction for somebody's son pride."what even did you expect me to say damn!" the girl protests and sunoo scoffs from what could have been the millionth time that day and moonbyul resisted the urge to just smack him with her lunchbox right in the middle of the cafeteria.
sunoo obviously wasn't about to let her off the hook that easily. he crossed his arms and tilted his head, a smirk that moonbyul did not like plastered on his pretty lips. "give the poor boy a clue moonbyul"
moonbyul groans, dropping her face in her palms with a sigh. she brushes her hair back and leans on the chair. "i'm supposed to be mysterious" she whined and a window-breaking laugh leaves sunoo's mouth. "mysterious?! please!" he wiped the tears at the corners of his eyes, holding his chest as he finally calms down. moonbyul narrows her eyes at him, clearly irritated.
