nick hurriedly opened the door, and there stood jay. he was a little taller than him, but that was okay.
nick's eyes traveled up and down jay til he was snapped out of his trance. "uhh..nick?? ready to go?" jay asked. "sorry." nick admitted.
"it's alright." jay responded, quick and easy.
"oh! and these are for you!" jay handed up the roses. "thank you so much!" nick blushed.
"ready to go now?" jay asked.
"yeah, yeah of course." nick said, and followed jay to his car. "such a gentleman." nick said, as jay shut the passenger door.
"oh, here, you can have the aux, just play some great music. and we'll be fine." jay said, handing him the aux.
nick put on some music, and he and jay sung along to it.
"so...how's it like driving?" he asked jay. "it's awesome, you get so much freedom." he exclaimed.
"how old are you?" nick asked. "i just turned 19 on september 7. you?"
"i turned 20 'bout a month ago. when did you move to california?" nick asked.
"beginning of june. so pretty new. but i still found a great place for the date."
"oh, do tell." nick answered, causing a blush to creep onto jay's cheeks.
"the new italian place on 4th street."
"oh, my god i love that place! you picked a perfect spot jay." nick said.
jay parked the car, and he opened nick's door. "gosh, you're too nice to me." nick put a hand to his heart.
jay held out his hand, offering it to nick. nick was hesitant, not knowing if fans were around. "are there any fans around?" he asked jay. "nah, no one's around. it's okay, c'mon."
nick took jay's hand, and he felt instant connection. like their hands molded perfectly together, like they were meant to be.
was it fate??
