fate chapter 27 💫🤍
nick and jay decided to take an impromptu trip. neither of them planned it, but after pulling an all-nighter, they somehow booked a trip.
oh the things you don't remember doing in the middle of the night.
nick and jay woke up, tangled up in each other's arms, jay was sleeping in nick's bed, back in la. right where they belonged.
jay yawns, and grabbing his phone from the nightstand. he scrolled through notifications, occasionally tangling his fingers in nick's hair.
jay scrolled on his phone til nick woke up. "morning sleepyhead." jay softly said.
"it's early." nick complained. "nick, it's only 11 am."
"that's early, i literally sleep in til 1 pm usually."
"not today, sorry i woke you up early."
"you're not sorry, you planned this." nick groaned.
"me? why would i plan this? i was scrolling on my phone, looking through what we bought during our all-nighter."
"what did we buy?"
"a lot of useless things on amazon."
"like what?"
"a beanbag chair, a lot of stuffed animals, coffee maker, candy, teenage mutant ninja turtle sets: which includes: pajamas, costumes, blankets, and so much more."
"we needed those things."
"yeah, that's what our brains said at 2 am."
"true, we shouldn't be trusted with our devices in the middle of the night." nick said, yawning.
jay snaps a picture.
"delete that immediately."
"why? you look so cute? it's sleepy nick." jay giggled.
"delete it."
"fine, alright."
nick grabs his phone, looking through his notifications, and stopping at one.
"what the fuck?"
"what?"
"you didn't mention the fact that we booked a flight to paris?!"
"when did we do that?"
"in the middle of the night!"
"damn, when's the flight?"
"it's scheduled for tomorrow, now how the fuck do i pack?"
"you're 20 and can't pack your own suitcase?"
"shut up!"
jay cherished these moments, because soon enough he was going to do something that would alter their lives.
jay booked the trip when nick wasn't looking, and paid for the entire trip. jay also had a promise ring, something he was going to give nick on the trip somewhere.
jay was actually gonna do something else.
he was going to make nick his boyfriend.
nick's reaction would be worth it.
