Happy new month. Welcome to September💞. Chapter dedicated to Marbles_07. Happy birthday girl💞.
Safiyya woke up for Fajr feeling refreshed and even though she felt like going back to sleep, she knew she had to prepare for the day. It would be her last day here today and she thought she would see Alfred this morning, but he seemed to have left early.
As early as 6 am, two men sat in an restaurant, facing each other; Alfred and Henrei.
"The sun hasn't risen yet and I was having my beauty sleep, so I wonder what Mr. Hill called me out urgently for?" Henrie asked with a smirk. He felt gleeful that the man must have thought over his offer. After all, it would be stupid to let go of an crucial deal for a mere employee.
Alfred watched Henrie's expression unfazed and spoke in a low tone, "It is so important that I couldn't wait. I was stumped by the offer a business man like you gave me yesterday. After an agreement, you want to use a woman as leverage to seal the deal." he sighed and reclined more in his chair. "I have heard what you said but tell me Mr. Moreau. What do you want?"
Henrie grinned and inched on the table. "You know what I want Mr. Hill and I believe that your sassy secretary has told you what happened? She's just an employee that can easily be forfieted and I can sense that Hill Corp values her but I am going to be part of you soon. It won't hurt getting to know each other." he laughed and added, "I am not asking for anything hard, just a simple date,"
Alfred just stared at Henrie like a clown almost expressionless but looking deep at his eyes, it was a deep sinking sea.
"You are going to agree right?" Henrie shrugged. "If she won't agree, persuade her or use your authority. It isn't that hard,"
"Pathetic," Alfred mouthed a single word but it was enough to stump Henrie by the open sarcasm. Alfred bore his gaze on the man and uttered, "Only in your world are women used as leverage for business. We don't do that in Hill Corp and don't think that you would threaten me with your meager investment to let go of my employee,"
Henrie ran a hand through his hair unbelievably. "Meager investment you say? You can't get the project you want without my help Alfred and I don't think that your board members will agree to me leaving the group. Have you thought about that?" he asked daringly.
"To hell with that," Alfred hissed, sitting up. "I don't give a damn if you leave Hill Corp. I won't even feel a pinch,"
"All because of a woman huh?" Henrie smirked and narrowed his eyes. "Tell me something Alfred, is she your woman? You know, nobody knows of your love life because you block off paparazzi but you are a man after all. Don't tell me that she is one of your mistress's that you can't let go. Is she that good?"
"One more word against her and you will regret it," Alfred warned seriously.
Henrie scoffed, confirming his thoughts. "So it is true. And there I thought she was still innocent with how she looked. You can't be selfish and have..." he didn't get to finish his words when a punch landed on his nose, sending his brain stumbling for seconds. Warm liquid trickled down his nose but he didn't get a breather as Alfred clutched his collar tightly.
"I warned you didn't I?" he glared at him.
"You dare hit me?!" Henrie growled in anger.
"I would do more if you don't shut your mouth," Alfred hissed pinning him down on the chair. "What my relationship is, is none of your business and I won't tolerate such a person in my circle. How I handle my affairs is my problem to deal with but you go find another roof to hang on to. You made a mistake in threatening me Henrie." he spoke menacingly.
