"And if I feel even the slightest hint of your powers, I'll kill him instantly." Cora snarled, continuing to keep her knife at Leon's throat.

My fury built in my heart, threatening to spill over angrily. But I kept it in best as I can, knowing that if I made one wrong move, Leon, the love of my life, would be gone forever.

I couldn't bear to see that happen. I couldn't bear to let that happen.

I only had one possible move left, and it was an incredibly unsure one, one that could go anyway, from complete success to literally nothing happened.

But it was the only chance I had, so I willed my powers to give me something to help me.

And it did give me something.

On Alfie's side

We shelled the empty husk of a building a few more times, just to make sure that those corrupted idiots were actually dead and not just cowering under pillars of rubble or barely alive being lucky enough to survive the first few shots.

When all the smoke had dissipated, all the previous noisiness had died down, and the building seemed to be without a single trace of life, we moved on, looking around at the boring, plain-coloured houses all around, thanks to the evil and greedy government of Tritya.

But now that they were dead, everything would change soon enough.

But first I had to find Leon, Jessie and Nita, who were probably fighting a tough war with the soldiers of Tritya, which were nowhere in sight. 

No matter how long it would take, I would defeat each and every one of them just for the jungle, home to the trio.

My saviours that I would never forget.

On Jessie's side

I felt my fury continue to build up inside my heart, as if that was what my powers wanted me to unleash. But I wasn't sure. This power would probably be easily detectable, and could cuase the death of Leon and even more chaos instead.

Then I looked at Leon. His legs shivering, sweat trickling down his forehead, and worst of all...

Streams of dark maroon, at his neck, where that sharp, wicked blade that Cora wielded had been pressed into.

Just like that, my red-hot fury swelled so much that it suddenly became white-hot and burning.

And before I could control anything, it suddenly whited out the whole world with a blinding flash, before I-anyone-had a chance to react.
