As the soft morning light filtered through the curtains, I slowly opened my eyes, finding myself lying on Veer's chest, his steady heartbeat calming me.

My eyes shifted to the clock—it was 6:30. The night had been beautiful, intimate, something that left me feeling closer to him than ever.

I glanced down, realizing I was wearing his t-shirt.

When did he put it on me?

I wasn't sure, but the warmth of it felt like his embrace, even in sleep.

A sharp ache in my lower body brought me back to reality.

The soreness was intense, but it was a reminder of the passion we shared just hours ago.

I winced slightly as I carefully lifted myself off the bed, not wanting to wake Veer.

He was still asleep, his face relaxed, peaceful—completely unaware of the thoughts swirling in my mind.

I tiptoed to the washroom, craving the warmth of a bath to soothe the discomfort.

The hot water cascaded over my skin, and slowly, the aches in my muscles began to subside.

I closed my eyes, letting myself relive moments from the night, each one filled with tenderness and desire.

By the time I emerged, wrapped in the soft towel, I felt a little better—physically at least.

Veer was still sleeping, his form undisturbed by my absence.

I leaned over, pressing a gentle kiss on his forehead.

But then, the realization hit me like a cold wave—we didn't use protection.

Panic flickered in my chest as I rushed to my cupboard, fumbling for the pill and painkiller, hoping to ease both my physical and emotional anxiety.

I needed to eat something first.

Downstairs, the house was quiet.

Saanvi and Ira were still fast asleep, and the peace was welcome.

I grabbed some bread and jam, taking small bites, my mind running through all the possibilities.

I felt unsettled but reminded myself I was taking the right steps to prevent any consequences. After eating, I hurried back upstairs.

When I returned, Veer was no longer in bed but in the washroom.

I sat on the bed, finishing my bread and swallowing the medicine before he emerged, looking fresh, dressed in his usual polo shirt and trousers.

He smiled when he saw me, walking over with that familiar ease.

"Cherry, where were you?" he asked, his voice still thick with sleep but laced with concern.
