ANDREA
Miles wasn't too happy about our separation. He frowns from the other side of the room, and I only laugh at it. It felt good to have someone genuinely like my presence. Whenever I see Miles smile at me, I feel my heart squeeze in my chest. I like him a lot. The look in his eyes tells me that he likes me as well. It makes me feel giddy as if I'm a teenager just figuring out they like someone rather than a person who was having a child with that person they liked. It was so new and thrilling between us.
"Ugh, this is getting too much," Elena says with a groan as she gets out of bed. She moves to the middle of the room, and I didn't see it until she pulls at a handle. Then I see the sliding door, and Miles shouts, getting out of bed. "No, don't shut me out!"
"This door was solely created for that purpose," Elean says with a roll of her eyes, and I observe the makeshift door. It was nothing constructed, so I didn't think it was the best sturdy. "And I don't like that I asked Andrea to hang out with me, but you just can't stop looking at her. Sorry, man, but I need time with her."
She goes to close the door, but Mile's steps through, and before she can stop her, he walks over to me rushed. Leaning down, he kisses me on the lips and whispers, "You know where to find me if you need me." I laugh against his mouth, and he presses his lips to my cheek instead. I grab his hand and squeeze it before he steps back. "Good night, Andrea," Miles bids right before Elena closes the door on him.
She gets back into bed and represses on the movie we were watching. I'm laughing, but then I stop and say, "I'm actually glad to be hanging out with you."
"Thank you, Drea," Elena says, moving a piece of her brown hair out of the way. "But I get it if you want to go back to Miles."
"No, it's okay," I say, running a hand through my hair. "It's probably better for us to be separated a little bit. We have been sharing a bed for a long time."
"See," Elena says with a grin as she sways me in the shoulder. "So it's good you are hanging out with me."
"It is," I say, even though I know I'll miss him just a tiny bit. I was honestly obsessed with being around his presence.

"Miles," I whisper as soon as Elena leaves the room once we wake up the next morning. He was sleeping still, so I jumped into bed, stumbling over his body, but managed to get to the other side. I'm laughing, excited as I lean down and pepper his face with kisses. "Hi," I say with a grin, "I actually missed you."
His eyelashes flutter as I continue to attack him with my excitement, and when he sees me, he gives me a slow smile. "Hey," he whispers, moving a hand out and grabbing my own and tucking it under his face.
"Good morning," I pipe up with a grin. "It feels good to be awake this morning."
Miles opens his eyes, glancing at me with an incredulous look. "You on something, sweetheart?"
"I'm just so happy to be back beside you," I say, tucking my legs under my body and laughing. "I missed you."
"I missed you as well," Miles says and then rubs at his eyes. "But I'm kind of still sleepy, sweetheart. Mind if I get a little bit of rest?"
"Sure," I say, but then shrug. "If you wouldn't mind me sleeping by your side."
"All good," he says and then tugs on my hand so that I fall beside him in bed. He angles his body to sleep on his side and then whispers, "Turn around." I do what he says, pressing my back to his chest, and he drapes a hand across my chest. His other hand goes to my belly, where he gently holds it. I feel his breath on my shoulder as he says, "Okay?"
