It was your birthday. You and Derek had been together for almost 2 years now.
This morning when you woke up you checked your phone expecting a 'Happy Birthday' text from Derek but there was no text at all.
You thought maybe he wasn't awake yet so you did your normal morning routine and went downstairs to get something to eat. You approached the kitchen and stopped to check your phone.
There was still no text and at this point you were starting to think that he forgot.
You sighed and walked into the kitchen not looking up from your phone.
You heard someone clear their throught. You looked up to see Derek with a huge smile on his face holding your favorite movies and dinner from your favorite restaurant.
"Happy Birthday." he smiled and kissed you as you watched a movie.
