14. Staring Into Nothing

I've been staring at a spot one too many hundred times
Bustling crowds and noisy chatters around as they go by
But I've been staring into nothingness
Trying to bear with all of your compulsiveness

"How did we end up this way?" I asked
"Let's put everything behind us in the past."
Now that you've fled to another place
You started avoiding my face

Busy world, busy life, couldn't comply
Void sucked my eyes, lessons never applied
Mentally draining personality
This is just how you act in reality

There was nothing else I could do
Feelings die and ex lovers fume
Friends leave and strangers appear
Just so I could start all again after a year

"What's your favorite colour?" I asked
"What will be our wedding like?" I used to ask
Awkward chatters started all too well
Just so I could bruise myself again once I fell

And so the living room filled with silence
To overcome and not see you over the fence
There will be happiness after you
But this time, it won't be from you
