You and Rover ascend the winding staircase that leads to the City Hall's rooftop, the air growing cooler as you approach. The Moonlight spills through the gaps in the stairs, casting elongated shadows that dance around you like playful spirits.

“Now I have retrieved the magistrate's message for me from the puzzle box…” Rover begins, their voice steady as they stride beside you, a hint of excitement in their tone.

You hum in agreement, feigning ignorance. “But it only points to the Grand Library,” you reply, trying to maintain an air of mystery about what’s to come.

“…Something is missing…” Rover continues, a furrow of concentration forming on their brow as they pull out the sundial, studying it intently.

“I have solved the puzzle. The risks have been rotated, and the two symbols are now glowing. With this glowing light, a shadow is cast on the two other symbols... The shichen of chou, in the wee hours of the morning.”

Wow, just wow. Rover’s intellect always leaves you in awe. You can’t help but smile. “You are awesome, Rover! Let’s go to the rooftop!”

Rover blinks, momentarily taken aback. “You understood what I was trying to point at?”

In all honesty, if you hadn’t already played this part of the game, you wouldn’t have grasped it at all. But what’s a little embellishment for the sake of the moment? “Yeah! You’re just that amazing,” you reply, grinning widely.

“Huh…” Rover muses, looking down for a moment, a thoughtful expression crossing their face as you both continue your ascent. The rooftop door creaks open, and you step out into the open air.

The view is breathtaking. The moon hangs high above, illuminating the entire city with a silvery glow. Stars twinkle like scattered diamonds across the vast expanse of the night sky. You take a moment to absorb the beauty, letting it wash over you like a refreshing breeze.

As you step onto the rooftop, the cool night air wraps around you like a comforting embrace. But suddenly, your heart skips a beat as you notice a woman dressed in flowing white, standing gracefully.

Her presence is ethereal, almost otherworldly, as she turns to face you both with a soft, welcoming smile.

“It’s been three days. We have made it on time,” she says, her voice gentle yet resonant, as if echoing from a far-off place.

Jinshi glides closer, her movements fluid and deliberate, drawing your full attention. You can’t help but feel a sense of calm wash over you, mingled with curiosity.

“Allow me to formally introduce myself. I am Jinshi, the Magistrate.” She offers Rover a respectful salute, two fingers crossing her chest with a grace that seems to belong to another era. “It brings me great honor to be in your presence, Rover.”

Rover stands a little straighter, a flicker of respect flashing in their eyes. “The honor is mine, madam Magistrate,” they reply, with their usual confidence.

“And (Y/N)…” Jinshi turns to you, her eyes closing gently as her smile widens. “I have been waiting for so long.” She sighs softly, the weight of her words hanging in the air like the lingering scent of blooming flowers.

You blink in surprise, caught off guard by her warmth. “Waiting for me?” you ask, curiosity piqued.

“I guess it is not an appropriate time for us to talk about personal matters,” she says, the shift in her demeanor palpable as she laces her hands behind her back.

The movement is almost instinctual, as if she had considered reaching out to you but decided against it at the last moment.

“Rover, You might Already know where this is going…” Jinshi’s tone becomes serious as she and Rover lock eyes, a silent understanding passing between them.
