Your eyes flicker black rapidly, prompting you to close them for a moment. This place-it stirs something within you, though you can't quite understand why.

Ignoring such feelings, You move on.

Rover's terminal beeps again, breaking the silence. "Hello? Can you hear me?" Monica's voice comes through, brisk but relieved. "Thanks to you two, the abnormal frequency index in the Haven of Sprouts has dropped significantly. There are two more anchors left: one on the island ahead, called the Eye of Asteria, and the other at the TD Observatory."

You glance at the towering structure far ahead, extending your hand toward Rover. They take it without hesitation.

Monica continues, her tone shifting to informative. "The Eye of Asteria monitors the Etheric Sea across all of Solaris. However, the Tacetite there is much stronger, amplifying interference. As a result, there isn't much infrastructure."

Without waiting for further instruction, you wrap an arm securely around Rover's waist. Unfurling your wings, you take to the skies, soaring toward the Eye of Asteria. As you land on the platform, a familiar KU-Key bot is already there to greet you.

"Whoa! You two are fast!" it chirps excitedly.

Rover's tone dripping with sass. "Not you again..."

You tuck your wings back but don't retract them fully yet, letting go of Rover as the bot twirls in delight.

"Afraid so! That's my responsibility!" the KU-Key announces proudly. "This anchor is the Eye of Asteria-it's the Black Shores' eye toward the stars!"

You raise an eyebrow, tilting your head at the bot. "History lesson time already?" you quip, your gaze lifting to the enormous tower looming above.

The KU-Key sways side to side. "Most of the corrupted data here has gathered inside the anchor. You'll need to activate the switches to use the grapples-"

You cut it off mid-sentence. "No need. I'll just fly us up."

You glance at Rover, who nods in agreement. "It'll be faster that way."

"Works for me! Less effort!" the bot chirps, twirling again. "Clearance issued! Let's proceed!"

With a swift motion, you place an arm around Rover's waist while their hand rests firmly on your shoulder. The two of you lift off into the air, ascending toward the tower.

You had suggested a bridal carry-because, why not?-but Rover shut that down immediately, grumbling something about needing to keep their arms free to fight.

As you near the tower's peak, a familiar blue butterfly flutters into view. It dances ahead of you, as if leading the way. You exchange a quick glance with Rover before following its path.

Together, you clear the corruption in mere seconds, your efficiency unmatched.

When you touch down on the ground, you notice Rover has grown eerily quiet again. Their expression is distant, their eyes unfocused, as if they're seeing something that isn't there.

Another vision grips Rover.
