Life Starts to fade from your eyes.

Your half-lidded eyes meet Rover's, and a weak, broken whisper escapes your lips. "I'm sorry..."

Rover grits their teeth, their voice cracking under the weight of their emotions. "It doesn't matter. That doesn't matter! Just..! Stay with me, Y/N. You can't die. Heal yourself-please."

The sight of your blood-soaked body leaves Rover feeling utterly powerless. Desperation flickers in their eyes; Rover'd do anything to save you, if only Rover knew how.

'I can't let this happen... Not again!' Changli kneels beside Rover, swallowing hard to keep her own composure, to save you she will let go of this pitiful feeling gnawing at her chest.

She places a steadying hand on Rover's shoulder, her voice soft yet resolute. "Rover, Y/N needs to resonate to heal."

Rover's head snaps toward her, their expression frantic. "How? What do I have to do?"

Changli hesitates, her gaze darting between your pale face and Rover's panicked one. The answer lodges in her throat, but she knows there's no time to falter.

"Physical contact.." she says carefully. "Intimacy helps Y/N absorb frequencies faster-it's the only way to resonate deeply enough right now."

Rover stiffens, the implications of her words sinking in. They look down at your face, pale and streaked with blood, your breathing faint, almost non-existent. "You mean... I have to-"

Changli nods, her expression unreadable. "Yes. A kiss. It's the fastest way."

when Rover's gaze drops back to you-your fragile, barely-alive form-the decision becomes painfully clear. They let out a shaky breath and adjust their grip, cradling you closer.

"I'm sorry, Y/N," Rover murmurs, their voice barely audible. "If this is what it takes to save you... I'll do it."

Rover leans in, their lips brushing softly against yours. The connection is immediate. A ripple of energy surges between you, faint at first, but then it grows, lighting up the space around you with a faint golden glow which turns into purple, as you also resonate with Rover's havoc energy.

Your body reacts instinctively, drawing in the frequencies like a parched desert absorbing rain.

The cracks in your skin begin to mend, and the flow of blood slows to a halt. Changli watches, her breath caught in her throat as the transformation unfolds.

Rover pulls back slightly, feeling literally drained from their life essence.

Rover's forehead resting against yours as they watch your color return. "Y/N..." Their voice is filled with both relief and lingering fear.

Your eyes flutter open, still dazed but filled with a faint glimmer of recognition. "Rover...?" you whisper weakly, your voice barely above a breath.

Rover smiles, "Ah..You are back..."

Changli exhales shakily, finally allowing herself to feel relief. "It's working... Let's take a break for a while, until Y/N recovers fully."

Hours pass quietly as she and Rover rest near the edge of the city, hidden behind an old house.
