In a world where men can fly using technology, people can turn into giant monsters after an experiment goes wrong, a war hero frozen in time in a block of ice, superspys, near superhuman archers and Literal gods, when all of that is put together it...
Dante finds a massive stair case and starts climbing it
Dante: Guess it makes sense I need to climb back up, well better get started
Halfway up the first flight, he heard the faint scrape of metal. He paused, senses heightened, and then there was a flash of movement.
Then Several demons, emerged from the darkness. Their skeletal forms were armed with scythes and blades, their crimson eyes glowing hungrily as they closed in on Dante from all directions. Without hesitation, he drew Ebony and Ivory
Dante: Great. More company. Guess I'm gonna be popular tonight.
The first demon lunged at him, scythe whistling through the air. Dante sidestepped, firing a quick series of shots that tore through its chest. The creature stumbled, shrieking in agony before crumbling into black smoke. Another rushed in from his right, looking ready to strike down Dante, but the demon hunter whipped around, slamming his elbow into its face before blasting it point-blank in the head.
Dante: C'mon, try harder, will ya?
More demons poured out from the walls—slinking down from the ceiling, crawling up from the shadows of the stairwell below. A particularly large one, wielding twin sickles, swung at Dante's legs. He flipped backward, avoiding the strike, and landed lightly on the next step up.
He draws Rebellion and he slices upward. The blade cleaved through the nearest demon's chest, its ethereal body splitting in half with a sickening hiss. Dante kicked the remains aside, his gaze already scanning the horde as they swarmed him from all sides.
Dante: Alright, let's make this climb interesting.
With a quick click of his fingers, he activated Quicksilver. Instantly, time seemed to grind to a halt. The demons froze mid-attack, their snarls and roars suspended in eerie silence. Grinning, Dante took his time weaving through them, slashing with Rebellion as he passed each one. With each strike, a demon shattered like glass, fragments scattering through the air in slow motion.
He released Quicksilver, and time resumed with a sudden rush of motion. The demons exploded in a burst of dark energy, torn apart before they even realized what had happened.
Dante: Man, I could get used to this.
But the stairway was still far from clear. More demons surged toward him—hunched figures with clawed hands and twisted smiles, eyes glowing with malice. One swung a massive cleaver at Dante's head. He ducked, then retaliated with a spinning kick that knocked the creature off balance. In the same motion, he brought Rebellion down in a powerful arc, slicing the demon in half.
Another lunged at him from behind, its scythe aimed for his back. Without looking, Dante drew Cerberus from his side and whipped it around, the chilling impact smashing the creature's skull to pieces.
Dante: Oops, too slow!
He spun the nunchaku skillfully, the icy chain glowing brightly as he tore through the remaining demons with a flurry of precise, bone-shattering strikes. The creatures screeched and wailed as they tried to overwhelm him, but Dante was relentless. his weapons flashing in a deadly dance that left nothing but carnage in his wake.
The stairway spiraled higher, the air thickening with demonic energy. As Dante continued his climb, a group of demons blocked the way ahead—these larger and more heavily armored than the others. They raised their shields and spears, ready to skewer him as soon as he approached.
Dante: Think you can stop me?
With a flourish, he activated Quicksilver once more. Time slowed, and he darted forward, slipping past their defenses in a blur of motion. In a series of precise slashes, he sliced through all of them. Time resumed, and the demons fell apart, weapons clattering uselessly to the floor.
Dante: Not happening.
The last few demons rushed at him desperately, their attacks wild and frenzied. Dante parried each blow effortlessly, his movements a blur of speed and power. He ducked under one swing, drove his fist into the attacker's gut, then finished it off with a brutal uppercut that sent it flying backward into the stairwell below.
A final creature, its eyes burning with hatred, charged at Dante from the top of the stairs, screaming as it swung a serrated blade at his head. Dante sidestepped, grabbed the demon's arm, and twisted sharply. The creature shrieked as its arm snapped, and Dante delivered a spinning kick that sent it hurtling over the edge of the staircase.
Dante: Better luck next time.
He looked around, catching his breath as the last of the demons disintegrated into ash. The stairwell was littered with the remains of his enemies, their weapons and shattered forms scattered across the blood-stained steps.
Dante: Man, that was a workout.
He then continued walking and heard the sound of a motorcycle
Once again the demon huntress appeared and then she jumped off her bike. while it was still running so it crashed into the door which broke the door down
They stared each other down and immediately pulled out their guns
Dante: Heh looks like we got a stalemate on our hands
??: Why are you here?
Dante: Hunting demons is my job, and this place is filled to the brim with them I'm not leaving till every single one of them is dead
???: What a coincidence, so am I, but I'm hunting one more in particular
Dante: and which one would that be
??: The one that looks like a jester
Dante; Tch, I've met that freak, but he let me go for some reason
The huntress was walking to the next room
???: Consider yourself lucky
Dante started walking too
Dante: believe me I know, he was stronger than any demon I've fought up till now
He didn't get responses to see she's gone
Dante: Tch
He then kept walking and saw two paths, one to the left and one to the right
So he went right and kept walking until he found a stage of some kind
Then a ton of bats flew around and it revealed a woman with pale skin and red hair
