Lady had just recovered from her battle with Tank, slinging Kalina Ann over her shoulder, making sure it was secure.

That's when the door to the room was kicked down—Vergil.

Lady: Vergil, it's good to see you... huh, never thought I'd say that.

Vergil chuckled and gestured for her to follow.

Vergil: Come on, we gotta go.

Lady nodded and fell in step beside him.

Lady: So, did you also have to fight a weird opponent who looked like a shadow?

Vergil nodded, gripping his sword slightly as he walked, his injuries from the battle still healing.

Vergil: Yeah, it was a powerful knight named Iron. The thing gave me a run for my money—its defense was almost impenetrable.

Lady: I had to fight a massive bear. No matter what I did, it just wouldn't go down. I had to give him literally all I had. Luckily, I have my backup ammo.

Vergil nodded.

Vergil: Good. Who knows about Dante? We need to find him quickly. I'm worried about him. There's no telling what Mundus is using against him.

That's when Vergil heard Lady's footsteps stop. He turned—only to find her pointing one of her pistols at him.

Lady: Who or what are you? And what have you done with Vergil?

Vergil scowled briefly before regaining his usual composure.

Vergil: Is it wrong to worry about family?

Lady hummed in thought but didn't lower her gun. Vergil turned his back and continued walking—until he heard a distinct click.

He turned around again. Lady was still holding the gun up, this time ready to fire.

Lady: Yeah... except the real Vergil wouldn't say that out loud. For a couple of reasons. One—he knows Dante can take care of himself. And two—he's too much of a tsundere to ever admit he was actually worried about his brother. So, I ask again... Who. Or what. Are you?

This time, Vergil smirked—an evil smirk.

Vergil: Take a damn guess.

Dante walked in just as Iron's body finished disintegrating. He wasn't carrying any weapons.

Dante: What do you think you're doing, bro? I thought we were past all this.

Vergil: Word of advice—before you try to trick people, do your research. Dante says "Jackpot," not "Bada bing, bada boom."

Dante: Well, I was close enough.

Vergil: Also, Dante always carries Rebellion or Ebony & Ivory. Since you have neither... that means you're not him. So why don't you tell me who or what you are before I kill you?

Dante sighed and smirked before jumping back, ready to fight.

Dante: Take a guess.

Lady smiled, pulling him to his feet. They started running together.

Lady: Come on, let's kill Mundus. Then I'll treat you to some olive pizza.

Dante immediately skidded to a halt, raising an eyebrow.

Dante: Excuse me?

Lady cursed under her breath before turning back to him with a forced smile.

Lady sighed.

She pulled out a pistol and fired—
