"No. Freaking. Way," Addy said, pulling a piece of paper out of my desk drawer.

We were sitting in my room, the day before school starts up again. We are going to be seniors.

"What did you find?" I asked, closing my laptop.

"The bucket list we made when we were 10," she replied. She held up the white sheet of paper with colorful words and boxes all over it.

"The one we made a couple months after my mom died?" I asked.

"That's the one. Remember how you promised you would finish it before graduation day? I don't even see one box checked off," Addy scolded me.

Her brown eyes were shooting daggers at me. Her brown hair fell back into her face, taking her attention off of me.

"It's just a stupid list," I scoffed.

"Abigail, you promised me you would finish it. We even shook on it," she said.

"There are 42 different things to do on there. I'm never going to finish it within this school year," I said.

She handed me the paper. "You should probably get started then. You don't get to back out of this like everything else. You're going to be a senior. You need to put yourself out there."

The bucket list is composed of 4 different categories.

"Some of these are going to be impossible," I said.

"Like what?" Addy asked.

"Um, like paying for traveling," I said.

"Don't start with me about your money situation. The whole world knows you have more than enough," she said.

When my mom died all of her money got handed down to me. It was in her will. And when I say money I mean 6 large. Her job was intensive. I try not to spend her money even though it will probably last me the rest of my life; if spent wisely.

"I'm just not comfortable spending the money she earned," I replied.

"Then the first thing we are going to do won't cost you any money," she said.

I groaned. "Oh dear god. What are we doing?"

"Trespassing!"

***********

Addy and I stayed at my house until the sun was down until the morning hours. She acts like she's done this a thousand times before when I know she wouldn't come within a hundred yards of a trespassing sign.
