The fates called to us days before your fifth birthday and revealed that if you would have stayed in our care that Zeus would have killed your father"

My eyes widen as my mother paused.

" Zeus would have not only killed your father and stole his powers but would have killed you and stole your powers as well. Your father, and I couldn't let that happen, so we faked our deaths to protect you"

My mother explained.

All of this is so confusing I don't understand.

My father seemed to sense my wheels turning in my brain trying to make sense of everything.

He moved closer towards me and sat on the bed next to me grabbing my hand in his.

"You mother can only conceive when she is on earth with your grandmother Demiter six months out of the year. And the only reason for that too is because she takes on a human form as well. Nothing grows in the underworld but the number of incoming departed souls"

My mother sighed out then joined me and my father on the bed next to me.

"In order to kill the king of the God's, you need the gun of existence, and the bones out Kronos. At the time we couldn't locate the gun or bones. Now we have both, and we plan on using them to kill his bitch ass once and for all"
