(105) Their Worries

Jun’s urgency grew as he repeatedly tried to call Joshua and Minghao, but neither answered. Finally, he reached Seungkwan who went with joshua and Wonwoo.

"Seungkwan, where the hell is Joshua hyung ?"

"Hyung, they’re with Wonwoo at the doctor’s office—something about his hand—"

"Tell them Yuri is hurt. Come fast," Jun barked, not waiting for an explanation as he abruptly cut the call.

Moments later, there was a knock at the door. Jun quickly covered Yuri with the sheets, noticing her pained expression and how silently she was crying. His heart broke even more seeing her like this.

"Come in," he said, his voice still strained with worry. The guard entered, followed by the doctor, both looking out of breath as if they had rushed to get there.

"Sir," the guard began, but Jun quickly dismissed him. "You can leave."

The guard left immediately, leaving Jun and the doctor alone with Yuri. Jun gestured toward Yuri, his voice heavy with concern. "Doctor, my wife is hurt. Please, see her."

The doctor approached, but before he could say anything, Yuri sat up, fear flashing in her eyes. She looked at Jun, her hand gripping his arm tightly. "Jun… no," she whispered, her voice trembling.

She was scared, her tears flowing faster now as the doctor stood by, uncertain. Jun understood immediately—she didn’t want to be examined by a male doctor. He could see the fear and hesitation in her eyes, and it tore him apart.

"Shh, baby, it’s okay. I’m here," he whispered softly, holding her closer, his heart aching as she continued to cry. "If you’re uncomfortable, we can call for a female doctor. Just tell me what you need."

Her trembling hand stayed locked in his, her head shaking slightly as she cried into his chest.

On the other side, Seungkwan, Joshua, and Wonwoo rushed back to the mansion the moment Seungkwan burst out with the news, "Yuri is hurt!" Their pace quickened, worry written on all their faces.

Seungkwan called Mingyu and Minghao, who were out shopping. Meanwhile, Wonwoo contacted Scoups, who was in a meeting with Hoshi, Woozi, and Vernon dealing with shipping negotiations. As soon as they heard the news, they rushed out of the meeting without hesitation, leaving everything behind.

Back at the mansion, Yuri was still refusing to let the male doctor examine her, despite Jun’s gentle pleadings. "Please, baby, it’s important. You need to be checked," Jun urged, but Yuri shook her head, her fear and discomfort making her tense.

Jun sighed, understanding her pain but feeling helpless. He was about to call for a female doctor when Joshua, Wonwoo, and Seungkwan came rushing into the room, their faces full of concern.

Jun immediately turned to Joshua. "She doesn’t want to be examined by the doctor." His eyes gestured to the male doctor, who stood awkwardly in the room.

Joshua wasted no time. "Nothing to worry about, we’re here now," he said calmly, his voice soothing. "Doctor, you can leave. Sorry for the inconvenience." The doctor nodded and quickly left the room.

Once the door closed, Joshua knelt beside Yuri, speaking softly. "Love, you’ll let Wonwoo check you, right? Honey, it’s just us. You’re safe."

Yuri looked at Joshua, then at Wonwoo. Joshua continued reassuringly, "Wonwoo has read and learned about medical conditions—especially situations like this. He can treat you if you let us. You trust us, don’t you?"
