The next day I am decorating the house for Halloween when I heard Hades come into the house from work.
"Kore?"
"In the living room."
Hades came into the living room he walked towards me and helped me finishing decorating the living room.
"What did you think of the decorations that I put outside on the lawn?" I asked, hanging garland and orange-colored lights around the mantle.
"I love the decorations that you put outside and put out on the lawn." Hades said, sticking bats on the wall.
When we were finished decorating the living room Hades and I sat down on the couch.
"It's just you and Cerberus home tonight."
"Where are you going?"
"I am going out with Zeus and Poseidon."
"Have fun with your brothers."
I rose from the couch and left the living room I headed into the kitchen and started cooking dinner Hades came into the kitchen he walked towards me and leaned against the counter.
"Kore what's the matter?" Hades asked softly.
"It's nothing." I replied.
When dinner was ready, I grabbed two plates out of the cupboard and grabbed two forks out of the drawer. Hades took the forks while I dished up dinner, I carried our plates over to the table and sat them on the table. He poured us each a glass of wine and fed Cerberus his dinner Hades and I sat down at the table.
"Can you tell me why you're suddenly in a foul mood?"
"I was looking to have a quiet evening with you."
"I'll make it up to you I promise."
After dinner Hades helped me with the dishes he washed and rinsed the dishes while I dried the dishes and put them away when dishes were done, we left the kitchen. I walked Hades to the front door he put on his leather jacket he leaned down and kissed me I kissed him and broke the kiss.
"Have fun with your brothers." I smiled.
"I'll try my best." He replied.
He kissed me once more and left the house I locked the door behind him I headed upstairs to mine and Hades room and took a shower. When I came downstairs from taking a shower, I walked into the living room I knelt down on the floor and lit a fire in the fireplace I turned off the TV and turned on the radio. I sat down on the couch I grabbed my book off the coffee table and started reading Cerberus came into the living room and laid down in front of the fireplace. Later on, that evening I heard the front door slam Cerberus rose from his spot on the floor and left the living room I returned my bookmark to my book and closed it. Hades came into the living room with Cerberus following behind him he walked over to the couch and handed me a bouquet of red roses he walked over to his armchair and sat down.
"Hades their beautiful thank you for the roses!"
"You're welcome,"
I rose from the couch and left the living room I headed into the kitchen I trimmed the steams and found a large vase I filled the vase with cold water and placed the roses in the vase. I sat the vase on the counter I left the kitchen I returned to the living room and sat back down on the couch.
"What's the matter?" I asked concerned.
"My brothers are ungrateful!" Hades stated annoyed.
"What did Zeus and Poseidon do that they are ungrateful?"
"Zeus and Poseidon invited me to go to a bar with them and the whole time we were there Poseidon and Zeus complained about how much they hate their wives. They told me that I should consider myself lucky that I am not married because I would be miserable like them."
I rose from the couch I walked over to the armchair Hades pulled me onto his lap.
"Do you really think that you would be miserable if we were married?" I asked curiously stroking his hair.
"Of course, not because we love and respect each other, and we don't sleep around like my brothers I mean my brothers have fathered a lot of children." Hades pointed out.
I climbed off his lap Hades rose from his armchair he leaned down and kissed me and left the living room I put out the fire in the fireplace I turned off the lamp and left the living room. I walked upstairs to mine and Hades room I walked into the room closing the door behind me I walked over to the bed and crawled into bed. When Hades came out of the bathroom, he climbed into bed with me I reached over and turned off the lamp I felt him slide up behind me and drape his arm across me we drifted off to sleep.
