The next afternoon I am in the dining room setting the table for dinner I left the dining room and returned to the kitchen and finished cooking dinner. Moments later I heard the front door open and heard Cerberus barking Hades came into the kitchen he walked towards me and kissed my cheek.

"Why does Cerberus bark every time I come home from work?"

"He likes greeting you when you come home."

"Dinner smells amazing. What are you making?" Hades asked.

"I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, and yellow corn also please don't make a mess I cleaned the whole house for special guest." I said.

When dinner was ready, I grabbed three plates out of the cupboard and placed them on the counter while Hades took the meatloaf out of the oven. I helped him dish up dinner we grabbed the plates and left the kitchen Hades, and I entered the dining room we sat the plates on the table. Hades left the dining room and returned with a tall muscular young man with blond hair and hazel eyes.

"Hermes this is my girlfriend Persephone goddess of harvest and fertility Persephone this is my nephew Hermes god of trade, wealth, sleep, language, thieves, meditator between the living and the dead."

"It's nice to meet you Hermes and welcome to our home."

Hades, Hermes, and I sat down at the table I opened the bottle of wine and poured us each a glass we ate dinner.

"Persephone how long have you and my uncle been together?" Hermes asked, taking a sip of wine.

"Your uncle and I have been dating a couple of months." I replied, taking a bite of meatloaf.

I reached over and held Hades's hand he lightly squeezed my hand after dinner Hades helped me clear the table we carried the plates into the kitchen.

"Babe go hang out with your nephew I'll take care of the dishes."

He left the kitchen I started on the dishes I wash, rinsed, and dried the dishes and put them away after the last of the dishes were put away, I cleaned up the kitchen. I wiped the counters and stove I left the kitchen and joined Hades and Hermes in the living room. I sat down in the recliner and hung out with Hades and Hermes.

"Persephone, I'm surprised you got my uncle to decorate for the holidays because he's not a fan of the holidays except for Halloween."

"I asked your uncle if I could decorate the house and his castle for the holidays and he agreed Hecate helped me decorate."

"Uncle Hades thank you for letting me stay at your castle." Hermes said.

"You're more than welcome." Hades replied.

"Aunt Persephone, I want to apologize for showing up here the other morning at two in the morning I didn't mean to wake you and Uncle Hades."

"It's okay you were just letting your uncle know that you will be working with him in the Underworld."

Later on, that evening after Hermes left, I am sitting on the couch in the sitting room reading I glanced up from my book and saw Hades enter the sitting room he sat down in the armchair. I placed my bookmarker inside my book and closed it I laid the book on the coffee table I rose from the couch I walked over to Hades and sat down on his lap.

"My love you look exhausted." I said softly, stroking his cheek with the back of my finger.

"It was a busy day." Hades yawned.

"I think you should go to bed."

"You can join me, and you can finish reading in bed."

"I am a little tired myself from cleaning the whole house and cooking dinner."

I climbed off his lap Hades rose from the armchair I turned off the lamp we left the sitting room and headed upstairs to bed.
