Hades and Persephone a love story

Chapter 46

The next morning, I was woken up by the smell of bacon cooking I sat up in bed and stretched I climbed out of bed and headed downstairs. I headed for the kitchen and saw Hades cooking breakfast. 

"Morning beautiful." 

"Morning handsome. What are you doing home?" 

"I am taking time off to focus on my mental health." Hades announced, stirring pancake batter. 

I grabbed napkins and silverware I set the table for breakfast. 

"Hade how did I end up sleeping in bed because I remember falling asleep against the headboard?" 

"I woke up during the night to go to the bathroom and I lifted you up and laid you down in bed." 

When breakfast was ready Hades, and I grabbed our plates and coffee mugs we sat down at the table he made bacon and blueberry pancakes. 

"I think you should rest." I suggested. 

"Trust me I will be using my time off to rest." Hades replied. 

After breakfast I left the kitchen, I walked upstairs to mine and Hades room I got dressed and made the bed. After I made the bed, I headed into the bathroom when I came out of the bathroom, I saw Hades getting dressed. I walked over to the bed and sat down I put on my shoes I stood up from the bed. 

"Will you be alright here alone while I go visit Hera?" 

"I'll be fine I promise." 

I left the bedroom and headed downstairs I grabbed my cellphone out of my purse and turned it on I placed it in the back pocket of my jeans. I walked back upstairs and made my way to Hades's office I opened the door and stepped into his office I closed the door behind me. I walked towards the wall and opened the portal I stepped through the portal and closed it behind me. I walked up the front steps to Hera and Zeus's mansion I ran the doorbell the front door opened Hera greeted me with a smile. I walked inside the foyer she closed the door behind me and locked it. 

"Persephone what's the matter?" Hera asked concerned. 

"I am worried about Hades because he is taking time off from work to focus on his mental health because yesterday, I had to go get him from work because he locked himself in his office at his castle and refused to come out." I explained. 

"You need to speak to Zeus about this." 

"Is he in?" 

"He's upstairs in his office." 

Hera led me upstairs to Zeus's office on the third floor she opened the door we stepped into the room Zeus is sitting at his desk talking to Hercules and Megara. 

"Zeus, Persephone is here to speak with you about a personal matter." Hera announced. 

"Thank you my dear." Zeus said. 

Hera left his office and slammed the door behind her I walked towards his desk and stood beside Hercules chair. 

"What personal matter did you want to discuss with me?" 

"I am here on behalf of your older brother Hades because he is struggling to keep up with judging all of the souls that are being sent to the Underworld. It is taking its toll on his mental health yesterday I had to go to his castle to get him because he locked himself inside his office and refused to come out. This morning, he told me that he is taking time off from work to focus on his mental health there are times where he has trouble sleeping. I am worried about Hades because I love him, and I hate seeing him like this I feel helpless because there's not much I can do except run him lavender scented baths to help him relax. To be honest I don't know what else to do to help him, so I came here hoping you could find it in the goodness of your heart to help out your older brother by not overwhelming him with so many souls to judge because even with help it's still too much for him to handle."
