The next day I am in the laundry room folding the first load of clothes while the second load is going in the dryer.
"Persephone where are you?" Hecate called.
"I am in the laundry room." I replied.
Hecate came into the laundry room and leaned against the door frame.
"How are you feeling?"
"To be honest I feel like shit and regret not eating before we went to the bar. Where's Hades?"
"He went shopping,"
"I'm going to make myself some toast."
Hecate left the laundry room I finished folding the first load of clothes and placed them inside the laundry basket. I heard the front door open I left the laundry room Hades came into the house carrying the grocery bags and bags from Target. He sat the bags down in the foyer he closed the door and locked it I walked towards him. Hades and I grabbed the grocery bags we headed for the kitchen and put groceries away.
"Persephone, is it alright if I stay here an extra day?" Hecate asked, eating buttered toast.
"Of course, you can stay an extra day I'll make some homemade chicken noddle soup for dinner." I said.
When Hades and I were finished putting groceries away I left the kitchen and returned to the laundry room I noticed the dryer stopped. I took out the second load of laundry out of the dryer I folded the clothes and placed them inside the laundry basket. I grabbed the pants out of the washing machine and tossed them inside the dryer and started it I turned around and saw Hades carry laundry supplies into the laundry room and placed it on the shelf. He walked towards me he leaned down and kissed me I kissed him and broke the kiss.
"I have something for you." Hades smiled, taking my hand and leading me out of the laundry room.
We returned to the foyer Hades picked up the Target bag and handed it to me I took the bag and headed into the living room. I sat down on the couch and opened the bag I pulled out books and a bookmarker. Hades came into the living room he joined me on the couch.
"Thank you for the books and bookmarker."
"You're more than welcome."
Hades and I heard someone knocking at the door I rose from the couch and left the living room I answered the door Plutus is standing on the doorstep.
"Where's Hecate?" Plutus asked.
"She's here with me and Hades but she's unable to come to the door." I replied.
"Perse, it's okay I'll talk to him."
I stepped to the side and let Plutus enter the house I closed the door behind him and locked it I watched Hecate and Plutus head for the kitchen I quietly walked behind them when I felt my body being lifted.
"And where do you think you're going my love?" Hades muttered softly.
"To check on the laundry." I lied.
Hades carried me into the living room and sat me down on the couch.
"Stay there and watch TV until I return."
He left the living room I grabbed the remote off the coffee table and watched TV when he returned to the living room Hades joined me on the couch.
"Thank you for sitting there behaving." Hades teased.
"You're welcome," I smiled, snuggling up beside him he wrapped his arm around me and kissed my forehead.
I laid my head on his shoulder and draped my arm across him moments later Hecate and Plutus came into the living room.
