Just when the night arrived, Goku was outside waiting for Chichi. However, he was sitting on the bench on the front porch. He was wearing a hoodie that Usagi had offered him. He ever wondered if Chichi left him and Gohan after an argument. Even though it made him feel better talking straight at Chichi for mistreating him horribly. He just wanted Chichi to understand this. He was tired of it. So tired of being a hero. He just wanted to be with the family when he used to be. Although he hadn't dealt with Piccolo's evil plan for a few years of the tournament, he had kinda done so since Piccolo had changed.
"Goku, you okay?" Suddenly, Usagi appeared and came to check on him. He could tell she looked worried,
Goku smiled at her. "I'm fine. Just waiting on Chichi to get back."
"I wonder why Chichi left. Especially Motoki. He hasn't got to spend time with Mako since we got here." Usagi said as she sat next to him.
"I don't know. Probably I made her upset after confronting her." Goku said, looking at his feet feeling sad.
"It's not your fault, Goku. It's her problem. If she didn't talk crap about you, she would have been a better wife." Usagi said.
"I know, but I'm worried I'm the reason Chichi left. I don't know why." Goku said.
"She probably needs more time to think about what you said. She'll get over with." She assured him in comfort.
Goku eventually looked at her. "I didn't mean to make you worry, Usagi. I didn't want you to think I'm over-stressed."
"I don't want you to worry about me. I just wanted to check on you as always." Usagi said.
He smiled. "Thank you, Usagi, for always looking out for me."
She nodded. "You're welcome."
Suddenly, he noticed that Usagi was rubbing her arms feeling cold. Usagi noticed his worrisome, so she began to encourage him.
"I'm fine, Goku. I'm just feeling a little chilly." Usagi said. It was then Goku wrapped his arm around her and pulled her onto his lap as she didn't expect this. She blushed even harder than before as her head was placed on his chest.
"Don't worry, I'll keep you warm," Goku said,
"T-Thank you, Goku," Usagi said shyly.
"You're welcome," he replied.
She smiled and leaned closer to his strong chest. She truly felt warm as he wrapped his arms around her.
At that moment, the thoughts about Chichi no longer seem to matter. All he could think about was staying with Usagi in his warm arms to keep her warm. He felt safer with the girl who cared for him.
