"Why should he have to leave? He's our mate, is he not? I'd like to meet him," I question Yoongi, eyebrows raise at his alarming reaction to our mate. I don't have a clue as to why he was acting this way. I slide my hand into his again. "Is something wrong?"
He looks down at our joined hands, "I-I'd like to talk to you about it I private. So much has happened while you were out of it. I have so much to catch you up on,"
"Alright, that's fine. We'll talk after." I compromise, turning back to the man in the doorway, "I'd still like to know your name." Yoongi doesn't seem pleased, but, at least he doesn't interrupt again.
Observing us both, he takes a breath, "My name is Jin, of the Kim Pack." He glances, tentatively at Yoongi, "It was really nice meeting you, but I have some other business to attend to. I'll let the two of you get acquainted."
He turns on his heel as I blurt out, "Wait! Will I see you again? You'll have to excuse Yoongi, he doesn't mean it."
"You will, I promise," He smiles gently at me brelfre exiting the room.
I turn to Yoongi, "Now, what is it that you have to tell me?"

Yoongi's POV
The sudden shift in his tone, when Jin leaves the room isn't noticeable but I can sense it. He's upset with me. We bonded when he had landed on me in that clearing, I can feel his emotions, though dull, I can still feel them.
"It's so complicated."
He sighs and sits upright, avoiding putting any pressure on his wings, "Please, just tell me."
"You're right he is our mate. He's just not ours," I state tentatively.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"He has other mates. There's two other men and a woman --"
"You mean that we have Jin, two other men, and a woman as our mate? Wow, that's not what I expected for you to say." He pauses, "That's not bad, so how did we get here then?"
"So, yeah, there's that. so, they found us in the woods where my cave is. They offered to help me get you medical attention."
"Well, that's good." he says, taking it all in. "Are they not good people? Is that why you didn't want me to talk to Jin earlier?"
"No, not exactly. They seem like good people right now, but I don't trust it. I just really don't trust their motives, especially now that I have you. I don't want to lose you, I promised myself that if I ever got a mate that I would protect them no matter what."
"I understand that more than you know, my mate. I was so excited when I found out that you existed. I thought it was impossible for me to have a mate, but now I know that I have five."
I need to make him see that we can never trust anyone completely. I have to tell him the truth, about everything. "Yeah, five. About that, they offered me - well, us - an invitation into their pack." I pause, "I have a dark past concerning packs and alphas, I don't know if that's something that I want to do. I'd prefer it if we just go back to my cave, just you and I, and never come back to this place --"
"What are you talking about?" He says tensely, snatching his hand out of my grasp. I barely notice, because all I can feel is the rage raising in my chest.
"My cave is so nice, I don't know if you remember it, but its really nice. We can have a happy life together away from these power hungry, tyrannical, unaccepting types of people! " I spit out the words so angrily, I can feel my nails digging into my palms. "Trust me, I know what its like to be under someone's thumb like that. They make themselves out to be so fucking kind, they're just trying to trap us here. Fuck that mate bond, they're all the same deep down!"
"I don't understand how you think of these people who have been nothing but kind to us, thus far, our mates at that," He says it so calmly that I am completely still at his words. "I understand that you have your own doubts, but don't you dare speak for me. I'd like to get to know them, I get a choice in this matter,"
"Of course, you do. And I mean that, it's just things like this never end well." For me. "I don't want you to go through that," I deflate, I know that he's right. I can't force him to leave with me. He'll leave me if I do. "If it doesn't work out, and I'm right. Do you think that you could reject them and leave with me?"
He pauses in thought, before answering me, "If they are like you say, I will reject them and leave with you, my mate. I only ask that you try to get over your inhibitions and try to connect with them. I sensed nothing but goodness in Jin. I believe that we could be happy here, but only if we try."
I nod my head, reaching for his hand, realizing I need the physical contact so badly "I promise to try for you," I mean it. This disagreement has exhausted me already.
Needing me just as badly, Hoseok yanks me onto the bed with him. He manuvers so that he's laying on his side. He's facing towards me, and wraps his arms around me. "Let's take a nap, we both need it." I suggest, smiling. Hoseok agrees and we fall asleep in each other's arms.
"We'll deal with everything after our nap." I promise, even though it's nerve-wrecking, I'll let him meet the others, it's only fair.
There's still much ahead of us. So much that has to be done. But I'm so happy to have him now, to have him completely.
I will protect and cherish this bond with my life. Even if that means destroying another bond.

1058 words. I posted two chapters in two days! yay for me! I have so many ideas for this book. I'm so inspired this week. And motivated too.
