The grand ballroom was alive with the soft sounds of conversations going on with couples dancing in centre. Their bodies swayed with the song as they all danced in syn. Nina held the delicate wine glass in her gloved hand with her eyes lost in a distance. She was standing by the table alone, waiting for her friends. Kiki had apparently ran away somewhere and Chisuke soon also disappeared after her. Myai eventually got in a mouth abusing debate with her younger brother so Ara had took Myai to bathroom to calm her down. Nina was fine by staying alone as she enjoyed the slight hum of the music which smoothen her heart in the tense moment.

" Oh look what do we have here? "

Nina mentally rolled her eyes before facing Ae-nim with a sweet wide smile. She ignored the fact that Ae-nim was there to just insult her and greeted her sweetly making Ae-nim roll her eyes.

" Anyways what's with your dress? "

Ae-nim covered her mouth while laughing, eyeing Nina head to eye with a judgemental look. Nina continued to smile.

" It's beautiful right?! I actually buyed it of ten thousand dollars. It was expensive yeah but worth it! "

Ae-nim's face fell hearing Nina who was just looking at her with stars in eyes.

" Nah girl you look overdressed a lot. "

Nina chuckled softly before clicking her wine glass with hers with a big innocent smile, leaving Ae-nim speechless.

" Gowns will seem overdressed to those Ae-nim, who doesn't have enough money to buy them. It's alright I can understand you. I can even rent some to you if you want. "

Ae-nim's face turned red in anger. All she saw was red. Before she could fight back to Nina, they were approached by a gentleman and at one glance, Ae-nim quickly put on a fake sweet smile.

" My lady, will you spare some time to dance with me? "

Before anyone could understand what is going on, Ae-nim spoke up with a shy face.

" I don't mind- "

But the gentleman's eyes were stuck to Nina who just stood there processing everything. Ae-nim felt the second hand embarrassment as Nina politely declined the gentleman who walked away with a sad expression. She chuckled slightly looking at Ae-nim who rolled her eyes.

" Uff he wasn't even good looking one and what can I expect? A ugly one can only approach the ugly one. He didn't even deserved me which is why his eyes were stuck on you. "

Nina chuckled making Ae-nim roll eyes again.

" Sometimes the dream world is really interesting Ae-nim. "

" But I definitely look gorgeous in this dress ik. Which is why Niran has been staring at me from start. Told you I deserve only handsome rich males. "

Nina's breath stopped at her throat as she followed Ae-nim's gaze, only to meet a pair of dark eyes. On the other side of ballroom, stood Niran with some friends on his side. He seem to be watching her for a while now. But his eyes weren't on Ae-nim. They were stuck. Pinned on Nina. He was leaning against the table with a wine glass in his hand, some of his shirt buttons were unbuttoned, giving a glimpse of his hard chest. His hairs which were once styled, it was all messy, adding more to his hotness. By taking in his expression, he didn't looked so happy. His jaw was tightly clenching as he takes in her delicate features. In a go, he gulped down the whole wine while maintaining eye contact with her.

His eyes. The raw emotions in them. It all sended chills down to Nina's body. His eyes were filled with dark intensity. There was something about his eyes which was pulling her in. He almost looked jealous? But why?

She could feel her cheeks heating up, as a dark smirk appeared at his lips, knowing very well about his effects on her. She looked away from him, feeling uncomfortable emotions. Beside her, the delusional Ae-nim thought Niran was looking at her and gave him a flying kiss which Niran totally ignored as if she didn't even exists. His eyes were stuck on her only. Soon he placed the empty glass onto the table. And now his long legs were taking him directly to her table.

Ae-nim smiled seductively, thinking he's attracted to her that's why he's coming towards her while on the other side, Nina badly wanted to escape from there but before she could, he was already in front of her. He raised his hand towards her with a dark smile, as if waiting for her to take his hand.

" Would you like to dance with me? "

" Nirann~ I'm flattered to be your- "

Ae-nim was cutted off when Niran grabbed Nina's hand. He didn't even waited for Nina to answer as he dragged Nina to dance floor leaving the fluming Ae-nim behind. He acted like she didn't even existed.

Chisuke side eyed Kiki who was walking in front with such confidence. She was slowly following her around. As they entered the dinner hall, Chisuke picked Kiki up in her arms but as she got up, she froze. A weird exciting emotion filled her as her eyes met a familiar eyes. Neong who was dressed in a simple pair of shirt and pants also froze. His eyes drinking in the scene in front of him. He could feel his face heating up as his eyes scanned Chisuke from head to toe. Time seemed to pause as they stood there silently, not breaking the eye contact which was leaving both of them equally breathless.

Nina's whole body trembled slightly feeling electric jolt running down her body at his one touch. Against her warm hand, his hands were cold, rough. As they stopped at centre of dance floor, lights dimmed. Niran turned to the nervous looking Nina with manic intensity gleaming in his dark eyes. He gently placed her left hand on his shoulder, closing eyes slightly as if feeling her touch. As he slowly opened his eyes, his massive hand snap up, wrapping around her waist and pulling her impossibly close to himself, earning a gasp from her.

She could feel his hot breath against her neck as he slowly leaned towards her. Hearing his words made the blush on her face darker.

" Did I told you how beautiful you look in this gown tonight Mi Vida? "
