◇ Blake's POV: ◇

I snuggle into the pillow, taking deep breaths as I inhale the scent of lavender and a hint of coconut.

My eyebrows scrunch together. The pillows don't smell like that. My eyes snap open, Kira's sleeping face greeting me.

I lay there, staring at her soft but defined features. Her freckled button nose, her long lashes that cast a shadow on her cheeks, and her pink-colored lips.

Oh fuck. Her lips are full and plump, and they look so soft. And kissable.

I pull myself up and turn my head, knowing if I continued to stare, I wouldn't be able to look away.

I get up and stretch, glancing around the room that I wasn't able to see last night.

The bed is in the middle of the room, with two bedside tables on each side. The walk-in closet was on the far right wall, next to a white door which I'm assuming leads to the bathroom.

I walked to the bathroom, found two spare toothbrushes, and brushed my teeth.

I walk back into our shared room, and I lay on the bed on my phone as I wait for Kira to wake up.

Since I've broken up with Adrianna, I feel like I have so much more space and time.

Her constant need to shop and cling to me, whining, was getting to me.

Random thoughts fill my head as I lay there, on my back, awake.

But those thoughts, all surround back to the sleeping beauty who lays next to me.

I turn my head, staring at her angelic face yet again, and I can't help but think about how my heart beats faster for her, how I always want to be close to her, and to always protect her with all my being.

I sigh. The feelings I have for Akira coming back all at once. It was never really gone to be honest. But when she moved, the distance between us made it easier to bury those feelings.

My brows furrowed. I can't ruin the friendship we have now. I just got her back. I'll never let her know about these unwanted feelings I'm sure she doesn't share.

Loud knocks bang against our room door, and Kira stirs a bit.

Shit. I quickly go and open the door, not wanting Kira to wake just yet.

"Oh-, sorry, morning Blake. Thought you weren't awake yet." Cole looks over my shoulder and at Kira. I move, blocking his view of Kira.

"Can you wake her up? We're getting food soon and yeah."

I nod my head and close the door.

I hear a muffled 'Thanks' before the footsteps get quieter and quieter.

I turn around and head towards Kira, her sleeping form sprawled across the bed. I walk to her and shake her a bit.

"Kira, wake up. Food's almost here and we should go down before Cole's big ass finishes everything," I murmured.

I gently brush a piece of her hair away from her face, my fingers lightly making contact against her cheeks in the process.

Kira's eyes flutter open, revealing her beautiful brown orbs.

"Good morning," I smile cheekily.

She grins and whispers, "You have bed hair." I instantly touch my hair and pout when she starts laughing.

God, her laugh is angelic.

I roll my eyes playfully, "You cheeky little liar." On instinct, I run my hand through my hair.

She shrugs and sits up, yawning as she does so, "Food's here?"

I nod, and tells her that I'm going to go shower first.

I grab what I need and head to the bathroom.

◇◇◇

My towel hangs low on my waist as I walk out as I rub another towel against my hair. I look up from the floor, but I freeze when I see Akira lying on the bed on her phone.

Akira looks up, "Oh! You're done, finall-,' she pauses and then shrieks, throwing a pillow in my direction and covering her face.

Her ears turn red as she shouts at me, "Why aren't you wearing clothes? Why are you in a towel?"

I laugh, "What?"

She groans, "Put on some clothes before I make you put them on."

I smirk, "And how do you intend to do that?"

Imagining a glare on her face, she mumbles out, "Just put on some clothes would you?"

I laugh, "Okay okay." I throw on a shirt, and grab some shorts and put those on too.

"Done."

She peeks through her hands before pulling her hands away from her face with a glare.

I smile and shrug, "You can go shower now. And you might wanna hurry, I think the food is here."

She rolls her eyes and heads to the bathroom with her necessities in her hands.

◇◇◇

I sit leaning against the bed rest, waiting for Akira to come out of the bathroom.

Hearing light footsteps, I look up and my eyebrows shoot up.

Freshly out of the shower, her hair is a little damp, slightly sticking to her body. Her smooth porcelain skin glistens, not fully dried yet.

She looks so beautiful. My eyes, unwavering, wanders up and down her body, taking in the site in front of me.

She grins, "Eyes up here buddy."

My eyes shoot up to her brown eyes that shine in reflection to the light.

I smirk, "How can I resist looking at you when you look so devastatingly beautiful?"

She turns pink and fumbles over her words, then proceeding to look down and shuffle her feet around.

I get up from my position on the bed and we both start walking out and down to the kitchen to have our breakfast.
