{ Note: Descriptions of violence}
The interior of the freight ship was illuminated with red lights, and you stood by yourself holding onto a ceiling strap as the ship detached from the Remora and headed down to the planet's surface. You stood quietly, helmet tucked under your free arm, and anger in your heart. It was not the aggravating annoyance of frustration but a deep internal anger, a feeling of vengeance against injustice, and as the ship tossed and turned you stood firmly, stubbornly unmoving. You felt the force flowing through your body strengthening you, and you felt a raw power reaching out to you and taking hold of your mind.
You knew that your heart was breaking all over again, but you didn't want to let it fracture into pieces. The fear of the weakness and grief you had known before firmly kept you ignorant of your sadness. You were hoping against the evidence present that Tech was still alive. It was that hope that spurned you forward, and drove you further into a state of denial.
--I need to get to the vault.-- You thought to yourself, deciding on your next moves.
The landing was a sudden thud down onto the forested leafy ground on the north mountainside of Tantis. Shortly after landing the side doors of the ship swung open and you were met with a group of clones in prisoner uniforms along with a familiar face.
"Y/N" Gregor calls out surprised, as you put on your helmet and move past the clones now getting onto the ship. You didn't respond to the Gregors greeting, and you shouldered past the clones as you made your way up the hillside. Gregor had seen your eyes, the determined and cold look on your face. The red light of the freight ship highlighting your stiff posture and reflecting off your armor.
"I'm sorry," Gregor muttered as you walked past him, glancing his way for only a moment before you started running towards the entrance they had on the north side.
The night was lit up by the variety of lights from the ships flying in and the blazing fire taking hold of the forest. You smelled the smoke and burning debris through your mask, and for a moment you felt your body rush with adrenaline in response. The thoughts of Felucia came to mind and caused your muscles to tense as you ran. You made it through the entrance Gregor had used in the west, and were now running through the labyrinth of white hallways and prisoner cells. You kept pushing forwards going further and further into the building, reaching out through the force and hoping to find Tech.
Echo had taken his platoon and the force children that had been found within the vault to Tech's entrance in the Northwest. By the time you had entered Tantis he was escorting the children safely down the hillside soon to be in sight of Gregor and the pickup point. Echo was keeping a stern face and encouraging the children but it took every ounce of control to keep himself from running back in to find Tech. Crosshair felt a strain on his heart as the news had been radioed out, and moved inwards from his position among the tree's intending to find or avenge his brother. Hunter was with Wolffe's platoon, moving towards the center vault and about to come in contact with Dr.Hemlocks X force clones.
As soon as the news that Tech's platoon had been taken out Hunter quietly took a long deep breath and Golrin noticed Wolffe silently hit his chest with a closed fist over his heart. Wrecker's large broad shoulders drooped down and an audibly loud sniffle could be heard from the strong clone. Nothing was said because there was still so much going on, but the loss was clearly felt by everyone. Rex himself had been gritting his teeth as the fighting played out and found Dr.Hemlock himself on the highest floor of mount Tantis. It wouldn't bring Tech back, or any of the men he had lost, but that didn't stop Rex from fighting Dr.Hemlock hand to hand. There was at least some satisfaction in punching his cold heartless face.
As the hallways stretched on before you, you could feel the force speaking to you differently. Your emotions were so intense that your connection seemed ... different ... and instead of calming it was feeding into your emotions. You continued to run as fast as possible down the hallways, not caring what attention your thundering footsteps would bring. You heard voices ahead of you, and in the same two steps that you turned the corner you also drew your twin lightsabers.
