Alex had reached his limit. After arguing with the rescue teams, residents, and officers, he exploded. "You're all cowards!" he yelled, his voice ringing out across the gathering. "The caves aren't cursed! There's a perverted Hypno and Drowzees in there, and you're all just too scared to face the truth!"

His outburst sent a ripple of shock through the crowd. One particularly vocal Widford resident couldn't hold back and shouted, "You're not cut out for this job, lad! You might not escape from the caves this time if you dare enter again!"

Alex clenched his fists, breathing heavily as he turned to face the resident. His voice was calm but resolute. "Respectfully... shut up. I'm Sirilean. I'm not bound by your dumb superstitions! And maybe you're right, maybe I'm not cut out for this without my partner Elton... but as long as I have energy in this Riolu body of mine, I shall continue!"

With that, he took off running towards the cave, his determination blazing like a beacon in the night.

The group stood in stunned silence, unable to fathom Alex's stubbornness and will to continue despite the odds stacked against him. His resolve was undeniable, and though they might not have agreed, they couldn't help but admire his tenacity.

As Alex disappeared into the night, one of the rescue team members replayed his words in their mind, particularly the part about his partner being named Elton. They couldn't contain their incredulity.

"Hold on a moment," said a distinguished-looking Skeledirge from one of the more esteemed teams. "Did he just claim his partner is Elton? Elton from Team Awesome? The very Elton who's been on wild treasure hunts across the regions?"

A Corviknight, adjusting her monocle, snorted delicately. "Indeed, quite the bold claim, isn't it? Elton, paired with that awkward Riolu? Hard to swallow, if you ask me."

A Togekiss fluttered her wings, chuckling softly. "Wasn't that Elton engaged in some grand adventure recently? A treasure hunt, wasn't it?"

A luxurious Espeon, smirking with a touch of disdain, added, "Precisely. And if memory serves, wasn't there another Riolu, a different one, who played a significant role in restoring Time and defeating Darkrai? A Riolu of such calibre who, sadly, perished during the ordeal?"

The group exchanged amused glances, shaking their heads. "That Riolu," the Corviknight said with a bemused smile, "was nothing like this great Riolu fellow. The idea is utterly preposterous!"

Their laughter echoed softly in the cool night air, each convinced that Alex's claim was nothing more than a wild fabrication.

As Alex approached the cave's entrance once more, the Infernape from earlier rushed to intercept him, looking both incredulous and alarmed. "Oi, lad, have you lost your marbles entirely? You're bonkers if you think you'll survive a second trip in there! Do you even understand how lucky you are to be breathing right now?"

Alex sighed heavily, brushing a paw down his face. "Look, I get it, alright? You're scared, the whole town's scared. But someone's gotta do something, and it looks like it's gonna be me."

Infernape stomped the ground in frustration, sparks flickering from his fiery head. "Do something?! You'll do nothing but add your name to the list of those poor sods who didn't make it out! Listen to me, lad, those caves are cursed, dangerous, and downright evil! Whatever happened earlier was nothing short of a miracle, so don't go testing fate twice!"

Alex gave him a tired but determined look. "Miracle or not, someone has to end this madness. The kids in that town deserve better than a bunch of superstitious nonsense and scared rescuers standing around."
