[The scene opens up with Hotch, Morgan, Rossi, and Reid in the round table room. They have Prentiss and JJ on speaker phone. The tension from the situation is intense. Just a few minutes ago Hotch had been informed that Lilac was possibly the new target for the killer and now Garcia and Lilac are not in Garcia's office.]

(Hotch) "Well need to inform the local PD of the disappearance but we want to keep this out of the media as much as we can. We have the guys in security sending us the footage right now. We're going to look through it and see what happened. Morgan I want you to stay here with me and that's final. Dave and Reid, I want you two to go and meet up with Kevin Lynch and keep doing research on that hacker group. We think there's an insider running this show. We need to work quick but keep your head on straight. This is very important. Penelope cannot be hurt or I'll--"

(Garcia) "What's going on?"

[Everybody turns around to see Garcia standing at the door with a confused look on her face. Morgan runs to the door grabs her face and kisses her on the lips. A long, still, passionate kiss. He pulls away and his eyes widen realizing what he just did. Garcia looks confused yet satisfied. There's a moment of silence as everybody is in awe at what just happened. Suddenly the moment is broken when JJ chimes in from the phone.]

(JJ) "Guys, what's going on?"

[Morgan looks around then at Garcia before he bits his lip in embarrassment and takes a step back. Garcia and Morgan do not break they're stare at each other.]

(Reid) "I found Garcia."

(JJ) "what? Thank god."

(Prentiss) "What happened?"

(Hotch) "Honey, let me call you back."

[Hotch ends the call and walks toward Garcia.]

"Where were you?"

"Lilac and I went to go get a drink from the break room and afterwards she wanted to look at the pictures of those who had died on the wall. What's going on?"

(Morgan) "Can you guys give the three of us a minute?"

(Rossi) "Suurree."

(Hotch) "Reid, I want you to go be with Lilac. I don't want her alone."

[Rossi and Reid leave. Rossi looks obviously very please with the kiss. Morgan walks over to the table and sits down. Hotch walks over to Garcia and puts his arm around her back and walks with her over to the table. He motions for her to sit next to Morgan. Hotch goes to sit across from them but still close to them.]

(Hotch) "We think Lilac is the killers next target."

(Garcia) "What?! When did you guys decipher this? Morgan did you know?"

(Morgan) "No I-- uh--"

(Hotch) "We just found out a few minutes ago and Morgan went to tell you and when you weren't in your office I got worried, that is, we all got really worried."

(Garcia) "Sir, I-- Derek, I didn't mean to-- I-- didn't know."

[Garcia reaches out to grab the top of Morgan's hand. He looks toward the floor but moves his pointer finger and thumb to grasp Garcia's pinked finger.]

(Hotch) "It's alright. You didn't know. We just need to be careful. I want you with her around the clock. Morgan is going to be with you guys a lot more now that there's a threat. Of course we'll still need him but he'll be with you and checking in a lot. If you're somehow in a position of danger just use the word "mistake" to let us know there's a problem."

(Garcia) "Is she gonna--"

(Morgan) "Dont go there. Don't do that to yourself Penelope."

(Garcia) "How can you not expect me to go there Derek? This girl is just like I was. If something happens to her I--"

(Hotch) "Garcia"

[Garcia looks up trying not to cry. Morgan turns and holds her hand tighter and wraps his other hand around her arm.]

(Hotch) "We're gonna protect this girl. You're gonna protect this girl."

(Morgan) "Come on baby girl. We've got to do some digging and you've got to get back to Lilac."

(Garcia) "Okay. Do we tell her?"

(Morgan) "Hotch decided it's best if we don't."

(Hotch) "Maybe we should though. It'll help her be more cautious and we need that right now."

(Morgan) "Come on, let's go tell her."

(Garcia) [Grabs Morgan's side] "I think it'd be better if I told her alone. Give me 5 minutes?"

(Morgan) "But I-- okay 5 minutes."

(Garcia) "Yes daddy. I'll be home by curfew."

[Garcia playfully punches Morgan's stomach and walks out. Morgan turns to see Hotch smiling]

"What?"

"You kissed her."

"I wasn't thinking straight. I just-- when I saw her there after thinking she'd be taken I just did it. I couldn't stop myself."

"You don't need to explain yourself Morgan. I get it."

"Do you think I messed up?"

"I think you open a new opportunity."

"What about the bureau? They have rules."

"That's hasn't stopped you before. Or her for that matter. And I think the director is pulling for you two anyways."

"What? You've got to be kidding me."

"I'm not. I think he'd gamble on it if he could."

[Morgan laughs and gets up and walks out. His minds fills with different thoughts. The kiss, being with her, holding her, the kiss, touching her body, seeing her when he wakes up, the kiss... Would there ever be a chance for them? He'd have to seek out a new opportunity and until then hide his feelings as well as he could.]
