"You did what!"

"Shhh, don't make a scene El" I said.

"Oh I will make it a scene" she growled "You kissed a fucking killer"

"Technically we were both slightly drunk" I lied. He was slightly drunk, I was sober and I knew what I was doing.

"Ugh" she groaned and began walking towards English. When we opened the door, Damien's chair was empty once again, he hadn't been in school all week and for some reason a part of me felt highly disappointed. As we sat down, Josh Hettling walked passed and dropped a piece of paper on my desk, as I stared wearily at it and then back to Josh, he mouthed "I found it in my locker, it was addressed to you"

My hands trembled as I picked up the crumpled piece of paper.

"Together, we make madness"

Is what the paper read. I stuffed it in my pocket and watched Mrs Green looked up from her seat, she almost did a double take when she saw me, her eyes grew wide as she pushed her glasses further up her nose "Miss Stone, I'm afraid you are in the wrong room"

Multiple coloured eyes turned to face me "Um...I've always in this class for English"

She shook her head "You have been excused from all lessons today, did Mrs Welsh not tell you? Gabriel Grey asked if you could paint him a picture, he wants it done by the end of the day so Mrs Welsh thought it would be acceptable for you to miss lessons today"

I didn't know that. No one told me, Gabriel Grey was classy and formal man, why would he ask a seventeen year old to paint him a picture. Shouldn't he get professinals to do that? Hesitently, I nodded and stood up with my bag, I was practicably being kicked out of one of my favourite lessons. If someone told me I can do painting for the whole day, I would be excited and enthusiastic but for some reason finding out Gabriel Grey asked me to paint him a picture dimmed the enthusiasm. I walked aimlessly to the art department where Mrs Welsh sat drinking some coffee.

"Lara, I thought you had forgotten" she smiled.

No you just didn't tell me.

"Sorry, I lost track of time" I said as I put on an apron. The classroom was empty, I knew once I began painting Mrs Welsh would leave and I would be left alone, I didn't mind being alone while I painted but that hallucination about Cassie and Nikki last night chilled my soul to the core. "What would Mr Grey like me to paint?"

"A painting of Damien"

I gulped.

"Here is a picture of him" Mrs Welsh handed me a picture of Damien with a smirk on his face, his arms were crossed and he was on a red background. I stared at the picture, my heart raced, my eyes drank in his featured and I found myself slowly craving him "He also asked for you to make it abstract and Gothic"

How ironic that everything about Damien was dark and uncanny.

I nodded and pulled up a large white canvas and began painting. For some reason I wanted to put my blood, sweat and tears into this painting.

_____

I wiped my forehead and stared at the ridiculous creation I made. His cheek bones were defined, his smirk mimicked his real life smirk, I even added his lip ring. His chocolate eyes bore through me and seemed to follow my every movement, I tried to make it as abstract as possible with black streaks of paint falling over his face and body making it look like rain, that's as gothic as I could make it if I was honest. I waited for it to dry before wrapping it in cloth and exiting the art department and soon the school, thank God mom let me take the car, if any sketchy stuff happened while I was dropping off the painting I could make a break for it.
