NATHALIE'S RAGE AFTER HAWK'S STUNT AT ALL VALLEY ONLY CONTINUED TO FESTER.

Sebastian had said she was being dramatic when she locked herself in her room and refused to come out for dinner that night. Nathalie didn't care in the slightest. He could think she was being dramatic all he wanted. She was too fueled by her anger to even care about anything else.

She was too wrapped up in replaying the moment that Hawk had kicked Robby in the back, squandering his chances of getting into the finals. Nathalie didn't blame him for winning against her. She blamed him for throwing away his victory against her in the finals as if it had meant nothing. But for Nathalie? Having the chance to be the one who claimed the title of champion meant something.

It meant proving people wrong and showing them that she could do anything she put her mind to. It meant proving that just because she was short or a girl didn't mean that she couldn't be a good fighter.

It meant being more than just Nathalie Torres—the girl who was never given a chance to fight for herself and show who she truly was.

But now that chance was gone, and the person who had been given the chance had given it away.

Nathalie sighed and shook her head. Maybe she didn't have the right to be as mad as she was. Maybe she was being dramatic. She knew her hatred for Hawk was feeding into her anger and making it worse.

But she still felt like she could have done better. She should've been better. If she had done better, then she could've won.

A voice in the back of her head began to speak, sounding an awful lot like her mother. Nathalie's heart sank into her chest when she heard it. "A disappointment. That's what you are. You bring disgrace to this family."

You bring disgrace to this family. It was a phrase that she had heard often when her mother had still been around. She had tried so hard to forget, but the words were etched into her brain. Her mother had said that sentence so often before she had left. Nathalie didn't think it was possible to forget it, nor was it possible to forget the venom of her mother's voice as she spoke the words.

Nathalie wiped the tears that were starting to fall from her eyes with the back of her hand. She sniffled as she sat up in her bed at the sound of a knock on her door.

Nathalie muttered a quick "Go away," but the person behind the door did not listen. Instead they turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. Flora popped her head into the room and stepped in, shutting the door behind her before taking a seat on Nathalie's bed.

"Cobra Kai's throwing a victory party at Applebee's," Flora told her. "Marisol's about to drive us there if you want to go."

Nathalie shook her head. "Count me out."
