FEW WEEKS LATER

A few weeks had passed, and still Amara couldn't stop thinking of what she had gone through with Maximus. She knew he had only slept with her because he thought she was someone else and he would never have touched her if he knew it was her.
She started hating the memory of Maximus being on top of her, but it kept recurring in her head, every now and then she could remember just how he caressed and made his way inside her.
Amara shook her head, trying to shake the thoughts away. She knew within herself that she had done something really stupid all just acted to satisfy her stupid urges. It wasn’t even her urges, it was the downside of being a wolf, being a wolf came with incredible sexual urges.
"What's wrong with me, why did I ever have to allow that?” She muttered to herself angrily.
She hated the fact that she had let herself get used by that monster.
She had let him sleep with her, even when she knew he only did it because he thought she was someone else."
Every time she remembers what happens that night, she would always blame herself because to her, it was her fault.

Meanwhile
Maximus on the other hand couldn’t really remember what had really happened that night.
He had woken up the next morning still incredibly drunk and even when he tried to remember what happened, he just couldn’t remember.
He had concluded that he had sexual intercourse with Mia and if she got pregnant, he would bring her fully to his home.
Since he was now the alpha, he didn't have to bother about the consequences of his actions.
He could now do whatever he wanted, and he didn’t need his father’s or madam Felicia’s permission anymore.
He had been trying to reach Mia ever since that night, but she was ignoring his calls.
Maximus picked up his phone and dialed Arvin’s number.
Arvin picked up on the second ring.
“If it isn’t the new alpha.” He said, chuckling.
“Tell me what do you want Max?” Arvin asked.
Maximus sighed.
“Are you less busy?” He asked.
“I’ve been trying to meet Mia but she keeps ignoring my calls.” Maximus said.
“Oh Mia? She’s right here.” Arvin said.
Just then Maximus' heart Mia screams at Arvin angrily.
“Arvin, what the hell is wrong with you? I told you to not tell him where I was!” Mia shouted.
Arvin snickered.
“I’m sorry, it’s just that my bud was asking.” Arvin said, smiling.
“Do you want to talk to him?” Arvin asked.
“No! Why would I?” Mia retorted.
“Mia! Mia, please can we talk!” Maximus called.
“Maximus, what do you want to say to me? What do you want to say to me after the way you treated me that night..” Mia said.
Maximus frowned in confusion.
“Treated you which night?” He muttered.
“Mia what are you saying?” He asked.
“On the party night.. don’t you remember? You know what? Just forget it.” Mia said and hissed.
Maximus chuckled
“Come on Mia.” He said smiling.
“Okay let’s do it like this, tell me whatever you want, I’ll get it for you.” Maximus said.
Mia didn’t respond.
“I’m now the pack’s alpha… I can give you anything you want.” He continued.
Mia rolled her eyes.
“You’re the pack’s alpha yet you’re still hiding our relationship? How does that make any sense to you?” She said.
Maximus sighed and smiled.
“You know what? You are right, pack your bags and come over.” He said.
Mia rolled her eyes again.
“I know you are not serious.” She said.
“What do you mean? How serious do you want me to be?” He asked.
“What of your wife?” She asked.
Maximus' voice changed immediately.
“I’m not married.” He muttered.
Mia finally sighed.
“Okay then.” She said.
“I’ll be at your place by tomorrow.” She said.
Maximus laughed excitedly.
“Instead of that, why not let me come and pick you tomorrow, that would be better.” He said.
Mia laughed and nodded.
“Alright then, I can’t wait to take my place where I rightfully belong before that witch came along.” She said in disgust.
Maximus smiled.
“I’ll make sure she doesn’t bother you.” He said, smiling to himself as he ended the call.
The next day as Maximus had promised, he brought Mia to the Branson castle.
He arrived late in the afternoon with Mia to the castle. As soon as he reached,
Maximus turned to the nearby maids.
“I want you to go to Amara's room and pack her loads out.” He ordered.
The maids looked at him confused.
“Didn’t you hear me? Go up to Amara’s room and pack her loads out!” He barked.
“But my lord, where?” One of the maids asked.
“Find any room in the basement or any room in the maid’s quarter.” He said.
The maids quickly nodded.
Just then Amara walked out of the castle door.
"What's the meaning of all this?" She asked, as she eyed Maximus and Amara who were holding each other hand in hand.
“Oh, you must have met Mia a few weeks ago.. remember?” He said, smiling at Mia.
“And Mia...this is the woman my pompous father forced me to marry" He said, he took a few steps forward, standing over Amara, dwarfing her with his height.
"So...?" Amara asked, and she tried stepping back a bit to avoid getting close to him.
"So, I want you to join the maids, pack your things and leave this bedroom. From henceforth you and I are nothing exclusive and you will be treated as just a normal, regular guest in this house.” He said.
“Of course you were just a puppet my father used to maintain his friendship with your father and to also bridge this pack back together.” Maximus said.
“I only held back until I was crowned alpha, and now I have to tell you, I can't stand looking at you, I don’t want us in the same room as each other.” He muttered.
“You know nothing about pack life, you aren’t even a full wolf, you haven’t even had your first blood yet, you are just a spoiled brat, an abomination from a traitor like your father.” He spat.
“And no matter how beautiful you think you look, I would never let the next alpha of this pack be born from your womb.” He muttered.
Tears slowly rolled out of Amara's eyes, down her cheeks.
