Chapter 4 ~ The Ball

I was wearing a beautiful blue dress with sapphire gems all around the chest area as I entered the ball with Ciel and Sebastian. I took a good look around here, the hallway was lined with gold. There was a servant ready to escort us to the ballroom. "Hello, come this way." He said, walking forward. "Wow, this place is so fancy!" I exclaimed, looking around. "It's fake gold." Ciel bluntly replied, bringing my hopes down. I sighed. Ciel sounded like he wasn't in a very good mood. 

"Ciel, lighten up. We're at a ball!" I cheered, putting my arm on his shoulder. "We came here for grim reasons, (y/n)." The boy whispered. I shivered, that's right. I'm supposed to get myself kidnapped. "Ah, here we are." The servant informed, stepping to the side to let us in. I didn't want to say something like 'Wow' because Ciel would probably say something else bad about this place. But it is bad to live off lies, oh whatever. 

"Do you see him?" The earl asked, looking around. "No." Sebastian replied, having a bored look on his face. "My idea is that I get noticed by him.." I murmured, looking down. "But how do we do that?" Ciel asked, thinking. "Well, that's for you two to answer. What makes a girl shine out in a man's eyes?" I replied. They fell silent, and it was really awkward. "We should've thought this through yesterday.." The boy embarrassingly admitted, looking down in shame. 

"Well, what has been done has been done. No time for regrets, we need to think. We have a limited amount of time!" I pointed out, confident to find a way. 

Sebastian was thinking too. "Maybe we should try putting you around people who look sort of non-shining. That will make you stand out." The butler advised.

"Good idea, how about you go over there and look like you are having a nice time. Sebastian, you can go with her too." Ciel ordered, before adding "I will sit by here waiting. When the time comes, let me follow you to rescue (y/n). Alright?" Sebastian nodded. "Let's go then." I replied, starting to walk over to the place with Sebastian. I held a fake smile on my face. 

"My lady, young master didn't say that we couldn't have real fun. Why don't we dance since we're here?" Sebastian asked, holding out his hand. "Um.. but.. I kind of don't remember how to dance." I said, scanning my brain for any trace. "But if you were royal, you'd had to dance at least once. So, even though you don't remember, you will once we start dancing." The butler informed, not waiting for me to respond and threw us both in the dance. I sighed. I can't break out of it now.. oh well. 

We danced, it was really.. how do I put it into words? It was really fun. Sebastian was also right, I do remember how to dance. I know many dances..

Once the dance was over, everyone clapped. It sounds as if I stood out. "Wow, you have such a handsome husband!" One woman came over and complimented, but, my face flushed up. We're not married! "Uh-you got it wr-" I was suddenly cut off by Sebastian. "Ah, yes. We've been married for 3 years. We're wondering when the baby is coming." My face instantly reddened up. I kicked Sebastian's leg while no one was looking. "Oh! Congratulations!" She congratulated. Once there were not a lot of people around, I whisper-shouted at Sebastian, "Why would you say that?!" He simply smiled.

"Why not?" He replied, tilting his head. 

I just sighed. Once Sebastian gets like this, or in fact any other person, they'll just continue adding to the joke. I heard someone coming towards us. "Oh! What a beautiful dance!" I saw a man who looked like John, so I'm guessing that was John. Sebastian saw and decided to head back to Ciel. "Thanks.. it was nothing though." I looked down, pretending to be embarrassed. "Another song is starting in a few minutes, do you want to dance with me then?" He asked. Now is my big chance..  "No, I sort of hate dancing, I only danced with the man because he wanted to." I answered, looking at the man in the eyes. I observed him well, he had brown hair and emerald green eyes. He noticed me observing him, and started to look at me seductively. 

"Your eyes remind me of a violet meadow.." He murmured, grabbing my hand. 

He suddenly stopped and turned around. "I'm going now." He went off into a random direction. Sebastian came back over here. 

"Oh well.." I muttered. I suddenly heard a creak towards the open door that goes into the garden. I looked and I swear, she looked identical to Luna. Or was that Luna? I started to go that way without Sebastian. I heard him following me seconds later though. Wait, that didn't sound like Sebastian. It sounded like someone else. "Where are you going?" I turned around to see a servant. "I'm going to the garden for a while." I answered, smiling.

"I can escort you there." He asked, followed by me answering, "Okay." I faked a smile. "Here. Follow me, I know where it is." He went forward, took a left and went forward again until we were in a secluded area. He turned around and had an insane look in his eyes. "Jeremy, release the dogs!" He yelled, and a second later I heard tons of barks and three dogs coming at me. "Torture time~" He cooed, waiting for the dogs to knock me out.

I can tell you one thing.

I absolutely hate dogs. They are annoying. 

It was too late for me to defend myself, I was knocked to the ground as the dog's saliva got onto me. They bit me and I passed out.

I woke up. I was in a cage of some sort that trails off into a cave. I couldn't go into the cave, though because my hands were tied up. I sensed someone's presence outside of this dimly lit dungeon, and tried to make as little noise as possible, and pretended to act asleep. I heard a conversation very far, I could barely make out of it. I strained my ears to try to catch more words. "I'm going t-- -k-- --nails and hammer-- -- -- her" That was all I can make out. Nails and hammer? What could they possibly do with that..?

I heard them coming closer and closer to my cell. I accidentally made some noise moving my hands. "She's awake.. get her on the board!" One man said, and the other opened my cell and dragged me outside. 

He picked me up and put me on the 'board' which was a wooden table with stuff that locks your arms and legs to it. I'm guessing it is a torture tool. I tried to stay as calm as possible as they put me on the table. "Hahahahahaha.. beauty, we're going to nail your fingers to this table, have fun.." The man's voice echoed around the room. 

I was really starting to get worried, Ciel said I would be safe. But right now, I am not safe. "Why are you doing this?!" I asked, tears starting to form in my eyes. "It's simple. You talked to John. John showed an interest in you. You die. You aren't capable of being John's lover." His husky voice went low, and he stared at me with a cold hard look.

 "I-I'm married though!" I tried to fake that I was married, seeing as someone thought I was married to Sebastian. "So? You already know we torture people, so you have to die." I gulped. The man placed a nail on my finger and brought the hammer up. I braced myself, as he brought the hammer down. 

Hah.. nails and hammer. Seems similar? Yeah, this was a torture method in Higurashi when they cry. I'm too obsessed with that.. >_<
